typical ford guy. thinks just cause its a shelby that its king ****. well it aint. it weighs 3995 completely empty, runs 12.9 , it only puts down around 410 hp, so our power to weight ratio is pretty dam closes since hes got 400+lbs on me. the guy was a good wheel man, raced road course for 15 plus years. i think he would kno how to drive by now.....

They put down 440 RWHP according to another thread I just read. 440 RWHP and 4000 lbs > 310 RWHP and 3500 lbs. Plus they make power really easy.

i had 2 really embarrasing deaths, one was in my turbo mustang. i was on low boost makin almost 500rwhp and over 500rwtq and a 1990 tacoma wanted to race. i laughed it off but he was serious and i notice slicks so i fig what the hell lets do it. we went from a 50 roll. i immediatly jumped out a car n thought it was over when i heard a damn hurricane of a turbo spool and put about 6-8 cars on me fast. ends up it had a big turbo 2jz makin about 800whp lol

my other was when i was ridin my slightly modded 750 and i raced a car that was makin 1100rwhp that i thought only made about 6XXhp it put about 6+ cars on me from 40-120

If he was blowing the tires off and you were catching him then that makes alot more sense. Your first post made it seem like he caught traction and took off on you and then you caught traction and started pulling back. Huge difference there.

Also, I believe MM&FF got a GT500 to go 12.2 @ 117mph. 12.9 with a "professional driver" sounds like a 100 degree day after the car was hotlapped a few times.

Son, you're dumb. MM&FF ran a 12.2 at 117 in a bone stock GT500. That's a pro run. I see 12.8-13.0 all the time at my track full of regular joe's. Now you're magazine racing; oh and the "typical ford guy" comment is dumb. I will always call bullshit when I smell it, no matter the cars involved. I'm sure you did beat a stock GT500 but it was not a pro driver as you say.

My worse death happened lastnight at our car meet that we had at Hooters in town. Dude pulls up to the meet in his mustang gt with skinnies on the front and big slicks on the back. dont know exactly what size turbos he was running but we could hear them whinning before he ever pulled into the parking lot. say the least this race was over before it ever got started. everybody at the meet was drooling over this car.

It's been awhile since I have even raced anything in my Camaro, so it isn't a new story. Early 2002 I was driving around with my friend at the local street races. At that time I was a cutout and lid car and I had run a 13.2 at 108. Not fast but it was more than enough to destroy everything I had raced at that point as ricers were abundant. All my buddies thought my car was invincible, but that night it was proven not to be. I was pulling through an intersection and there was a brand new C5 Z06 turning to go the same direction. He pulled up real fast on me because I had thrown him a rev earlier. I drop a gear and nail it from about 50 and he is right behind me. We are on a super long section of two lane road so I switch lanes while still WOT and even with the momentum advantage I had on him he still manages to go around me like it wasn't a big deal. My friend was stunned because he had never seen another car go around mine like that before. I was just laughing my *** off because I expected the outcome. I took my beating like a man and the guy was real cool so we exchanged thumbs up.

This was in my DD NOT the Camaro or else it wouldve been different I catch
a light with a Black Mercedes Benz . I though WTH and threw a rev to see what would happen . The guy inched forward on me so I knew it was on . As soon as the light
hit green he instantly had 10+ cars on me LMAO . I was in total shock not knowing
WTF kind of Benz it was . I pulled up to him later on and it said E55 AMG on the back
which I found out later on it was a Supercharged V8 It was embarrassing but
funny at the same time

i was rolling around in my 2 month old 2005 scsb down 48 in ohio and a t/a was in front of me no badges, and sounded like a v6 to the tee so the road opened up to two lanes i got up next to the guy and gave it a little throttle, and he got on it it sounded like a bashee from hells gate was screaming, a little charp and he was gone so i followed and caught up to him at the next light with a sh*t eating grin giving him the rock on sign abd the window rolls down and a gorgeous 35+ lady was staring back at me and winked and off she went. i was asshamed but aroused at the same time.

I got murdered by a 69 or 70 Nova SS that had a 502 in it when I had my 96 Cobra!! IT POPED THE WHEELS OFF THE GROUND FROM A DIG ON THE STREET!! We were at a red light and I pulled up next to it and my buddy rolled down his window and asked if he wanted to run and he warmed his tires up right after that, Big and Littles!! I was like o-****. Light turns green and he poped his front left off the ground about 2 feet (could not see the right wheel) AND WAS GONE!!! I barely hit 20-25 before he was train lengths!! I cought up to him and got him to pull over at Krogers and we talked and it was a strip car!! That is where he was coming from!! LUCKY ME!!
I didnt even ask what he ran!! Did not care it was ******* fast!!
