Default Another Mustang Kill

So last year, when I first bought the car, some dude in a green mustang with a Saleen body kit almost runs me off the road. Pissed me off, but wasnt much I could do about it at the time, as I was blowing the slave cylinder everytime I got on the car hard.

That brings me to today, I worked out my tranny issues, and got the car tuned, its been running great. Sitting in town after a car show and low and behold, a green Faleen drives by. I wave him down, talked to him for a few minutes, asked him what he had done to the car. He responded by "H Pipe and exhaust"

I thought he was lying but I didnt care. So, we decided to run em, and you can see the results.

Since the tune, I cant hook at all til the top of second, you can tell when the tires finally grab. Also, I was driving in flip flops so I wasnt trying to speed shift it, I was just making sure to hit the gears.

Ya, we actually ran twice, just didnt get the first one on video.

When we pulled over after the first, he said "I had you to 100."

I replied "You had me til I hooked"

I guess that comment made him want to run me again. And it was about 80ish when I was walking past him.

I'm getting better at it, I didnt miss any gears this time at least. I still dont have enough confidence to stay in it when I'm shifting with flip flops though.

So Im a little confused. Was this the same guy that tried to run you off of the road or did he just remind you of the incident?

Same guy. He was in Sweeny for some reason, so I took the opportunity for redemption.

Flip flops do suck, i usually just take them off too. When i drive home in uniform I have size 12.5 boots to try to sqeeze under the the dash and over the pedal . Then he had the nerve to glorify his loss by pointing out a brief moment he had an advantage! What an *******, hate that **** just as bad as excusses for losing.

He was running a GT with added weight....did he really think he had a chance? Even with minor bolt ons....he would have been lucky to see 250-260 RWHP.

Nice run.

I honestly dont even know what he had done to the car, I asked him a couple times and he wouldnt really give me a straight answer.

When I asked him if he wanted to line em up, he never thought twice about it. He never asked what I had done to the car.

I dont know if he thought he was gonna win or if he just likes racing people. No telling. I couldnt get him to stop afterwards.

I hate driving in new shoes. Flip flops I am getting used to. but the BEST way to drive is in shoes I have worn for about a year and a half....I can just feel the pedal and the shoes are flexible....ahhhh. Perfext

Also...I just race a 94-98 V6 Mustang last night...ti was only to 40 or teh end of my first gear...I was half throttle till my RPM's came up (3.08's) and I walked him HARD by about a car and a half to 40 at half throttle till 3k rpms'

I imagine that is a 96-98 GT. 99-04 GT's are 260 at the crank, stock...with autos being 210-220 and M5s 220-230 (Roughly). 96-98 GTs were rated at 225. If he is running a New edge, then he must have a problem??

Chad - the guy is just a tool.......it seems. I just hate Cocky/Ignorant people. Regardless of what car they drive.

Ya, I kinda thought the guy was a tool too. I'd been looking forward to running him for a while, because he drives that car like its a 10 second car, and a stupid fly by he pulled almost put me in the ditch one night. It was nice to see the look on his face when I pulled him.

Thanks, I know theres a few WS6 Formula's around here. Tony has probably the best looking one I've ever seen.

Most people outside of Tech dont know what it is. I get asked endlessly why I put a ram air hood on a V6.
