yea but you said you thought it would have been ALOT closer if the passenger was in the zo6. not true, as you could see the passenger would not of made up the 5 cars. the passenger would have had to have been 500lbs to make it somewhat close and still the z06 was in the wrong gear. if he was in 1st, then it still would have been over.

The Z06 would still run away from the M6, so what difference does it make with a passenger, the outcome would be the same....Z06 by a buslength...

No, it doesn't make any sense, just like you.
You could also add a sumo wrestler in the passenger seat, trailer with a car, and a few blocks of concrete in the trunk of the Z too, to what end? "Making things even" would be just that, making the cars run even. I think what you were wanting to know is which one is faster. In that case, you put a driver in each car and drive them.
Adding/subtracting weight and changing parts are modifications. The Z is lighter becuase that's the way it came from the factory. If you want to know which is faster then you just drive them, period.
Instead of trying to add weight to the Z why don't you call up BMW and ask them to drop about 3,000lbs off that house on wheels.

If you think an M6 has a chance against a C6 Z06 you are sadly mistaken. Look at it entirely from a physics standpoint.
I will do this calulation assuming a 15% loss through drive train and ignoring Air Resistance
First
By Newtons Second Law Force = Mass * Acceleration
therefore
Acceleration = Force/Mass
M6 vital stats
Work = 520 Newton Meters(383 ft-lbs)
Mass = 1710 kg
Tire radius = .341 meters
Force at the wheels = (520*.85)/(.341) = 1296.2 Newtons(at peak Torque)
Final Drive Ratio 3.62
Total Force at the wheels in 1:1 = 1296.2*3.62 =4692.2 Newtons
Z06
Work = 657 Nm
Mass = 1442 kg
Tire Radius = .339 meters
Force available at the wheels (657*.85) /(.339)= 1647.3 Newtons(at peak torque)
Final Drive Ratio 3.42
Total force in 4th gear at the wheels = 3.42*1647.3 = 5633.9 Newtons

I think we all know which car is the faster of the two......ZO6 by a longshot!!
The M6 is a great all around GT type car, whereas the ZO6 is pretty much a race car for the street.
