Default Modded S2000 Kill in a stock T/A

Me and my friend were out in his bone stock 2001 T/A the other night and we see this yellow ( i think brand new ? ) s2000 with a big *** LCD on the dash and the whole works of pilar pod gauges. It had two big *** fart cans out back and spoon emblems slapped on as well. It sounded pretty nice for a rice burner so we were thinkin it might be fast.

My friend got behind him and reved up a bit so mr s2000 revs to like 15 million rpm and guns it. It was super slow and we kept up like nothin. I told my friend "wow this guy is about to get served". The traffic finnaly let up and went dead, so we got up next to him and we race from like 40ish. He stays with the back bumper for like 2 seconds, then gets blown away by like 10 cars. After drivin a little more he comes up for a second try, and gets raped super hard again. We are getin close to a red light with a NICE stright strip ahead and he rolls his window down and tells us "lets go from the light". He does a super rice rev up to like 10,000 rpm and when the light turns green we go. Again his car sorta kept up with us for the first 2 seconds or so, then it was over for him. Looked like he wasnt even moving lol.

too bad for the s2000 :O

My friend ran 13.6@99 in his S2K with intake/header/exhaust/tires/K-pro The reason for the shitty mph was a clutch slipping so bad you could hear it all the way down the 1/4.

An S2K is just about the exact opposite of an f-body - it's pure handling. Those are definitely not cars to be racing on the street. Another torqueless wonder.. The ride is quite refined though. Not where I'd spend my money, but not a bad car at all.

Nice kill, and tell him to go back to racing on highway exits.

Thing is, all its torque is up high (HP). I have never driven one, but for handling you want to fire out of corners where maybe you cannot down shift without upseting the balance. So Low end torque would be good there.

Then again, even the old 2L ones made about 150LBFT. For a high reving NA 2L thats pretty good. I dunno what the 2.2L ones do.

Nice kill, especially from a dig. It might be gutless, but owning a lightweight car launching aggressively like that is nice work.

It is sad that the S2K cant make that much more power with bolt ons. With AEMEMS, I/H/E you will get 200-230rhwp But you just spent $4k. Or you can get a built motor, turbo kit , AEM EMS, Rear diff kit, ext and get something like I did. I make 470rwhp on pump gas and VERY low boost, say 14lbs.

if some one hase the car set up right it will launch like crazy. I have killed many AWD cars off of the line. ****, i have also pull a 1.8 60ft with bone stock street tires. 225-50-16
