Tonight i met up with a friend of mine that was tlking **** that his brothers 06 GTO with 4.10's was going to wax my ***. Now i knew it would either be close or the GTO was going to get me but not by much. Well later that night we meet up on the loop and go from a roll. (Oh by the way my SS has some simple bolt ons: magna-flow cat back exhaust, Custom tune, air-lid, mass air flow) Well back to the story we go from a roll and i get him by a 1 1/2 car lengths. Well by this time he is pretty pissed cause he just dished out $30k+ for this car as compared to my $12k for mine. He decides that he wants to go from another roll but this time he wants to drag it out to 5th gear. I beat him by the same slightly pulling on top end. He says that he runs 13.6 all day long i personally think that he should be running better. any ideas on why such slow E.T.'s he is a decent driver too.

the extra 18 grand was for the interior . JK, i love GTO's, and i think 13.6 is a bit slow for the 6.0's. Nice kill tho.

Plus they don't make 4.10s for GTOs. The highest you can go is a 3.91 and they are pretty expensive and I doubt they were done on a new car.

Yea I raced a 00' SS with a lid, programmer, catback from a roll and put about 1 1/2 on him, it all comes down to drivers.

Nice kill, some drivers sucks, some others are good, the car is heavy, doesn't mean they all run crappy 13.6's. there are some gto's in the 10's, c/h combos and some basic weight reduction. i went from a 13.07 almost stock(cai,x pipe,mufflers),2.01 60', to a 12.7 with LT's,1.96 60', to a 12.46 cam only, 1.93 60'. i'm expecting to run high 11's next year with some badly needed mods (LS7 clutch,better tires still on the stock wheels,and a pair of drag bags to stiffen the rear suspension).

4.10's are not available for our cars, the highest you can go now is 3.91's. $430 plus taxes, not including the price of the gear kit and labor. not worth it for me as of right now, i'm planning a more oriented all out drag setup in the future, but by then the car would be paid off.

Yah im thinking that he should run 13.0 or high 12's. I run 13.1 in my SS on street tires. I've seen a stock 2002 SS A4 on slicks run 12.77 and have seen a stock GTO on slicks do the same.
