Ya need to get up North this Summer. Plenty of cars both Rice and Domestic to hand ya yer butt. Hell, I oughta be in the 8's on spray and I expect a certain Foxbody to hand mine to me.

 

i know of atleast 1 11second hemi ram, and a handfull of 12 second hemi rams, and a bunch of low-mid 13sec hemi rams.

im low 13s as of now, n/a on street tires, this summer i will be mid 12's n/a on stickies.

 

im currently having a battle with a 04 TT Cobra with the HP TT kit. 9 psi he made 600. but my car is getting out of the shop tomorrow after a new custom ground cam install with springs and rods. so we'll see.

i've had a buddy from high school that raced mustangs and we've ALWAYS had a rivalry..... he has a SN 95 with 331 stroker on a vortech blower and he couldnt pull from me and i couldnt pull from him. but now i have a new cam and power over 5k now

i usually do my racing on the highway b/c thats where my car

theres a couple mach 1's (one with nitrous) , tons and I mean tons of weak 2Valve GT's .... I've seen two termy cobras .... another cobra I just saw a couple weekends ago and everyone tells me hes got 611 rwhp ..... a couple f-bodies .... a couple lightnings and a sh*tload of fox-body mustangs (one supposedly has 640 to the wheels , another notchback runin around with an 03 cobra motor transplant and kenne belle + newer interior = pretty cool) and another sh*tload of skittles (srt4's) so its usually entertaining around here

 

Theres a mid 8 second street legal Mustang that has won true street at norwalk, the same owner has a 7xxrwhp N/A road race car, a Ford GT, a cobra, and a Ferrari. Theres a green cobra that runs around that isnt stock, A procharged Fox body, a SN-95 that sounds pretty dam mean, a couple ls2 GTOs and a couple vipers. Theres also a bunch of 1st gen camaros and one supposdly runs 9's and lifts the wheels but the owner is known for exagerating.

 

Here In South Florida There Is Racing Every Week. Vettes, Camaros, Ta's, Mustangs And Everything In Between. The Normally Fast Street Car Setup Here Is Low 11's. Cars In The 8's Here Too. But Dont Forget...... 9 Out Of 10 Times The 11.5 Car Will Beat The 10.5 Car. There Is Nothing Like Blowing The Tires Out ( Hitting Second Stage Of Nitrous ) At 90 Mph Next To Someone.

Here in my hood we have a bit of everything from domestic, exotic, import, and everything else. There are fast cars in every category that can really kick some *** on the streets.. right now my competion is an 00" camaro that beat me by a half a car..but yea we have everything if you are looking for a good challenge.

I really havent had anything around here beat me....except at the track. Seems like since my motor change no one wants to race on the street. Except for mustangs and rice.......and thats been no problem...Even raced a brand new one with some sort of computer chip After I beat him 3 times he said "That thing is crazy"...must of been the headlights that were shining on him after I let him get a head start then I nailed the loud pedal and my front end was pointing at his car

Yea I was only trying to be funny! I know man my car is ******* slow! But I bet if i could get a 60ft like yours I would be runnig 11s too. Not that it would matter, 11s is still slow right? We have at least 15 cars in our car club. They range from mid 10s to Hight 12s in 1/4, so till people around HERE get faster we are the BADDEST *****.

 

I'm faster then most in my neck of the woods, couple of supra's that would hand me my ***, 2 fbodies, and prochargered viper.

 

I am to scared to give her hell any more, i have already broke my pushrods three times pushing her to hard. guess i should get better push rods huh. Only been beat by another ls1 camaro, but that is a small correction really small town and nothing really good around.

 

I usually lay the smack down on 5.0 mustangs and stock f-bodies, but I get smoked by all the rich kids whose parents bought them srt-4s, EVOs and STIs. Yea, I know, I am jealous, but whatever, mommy and daddy don't buy me anything for my car and I do all my own work on the car and can still give them a run for there money. I guess its something to be proud of...

 

I gotcha, it all depends on your competition. I think thirteens and better are fast for most people but once you start to compare modified cars I think it's 10s or better to be considered FAST! I guess it's just a matter of opinion. I don't think my car can be considered the "badest ****" for the simple fact I know there are cars out here that could hand me my ***. Thats not to say I ever ran into one though

 

In my opinion one car that shines at being a great rival and a stepping stone is the '03/04 "Terminator" Cobra. When even a mildily modded LS1 F-bod still gets pulled on top end by one that can definitely be motivation to catch up!

On top of that there so easy and cheap to mod that it can feel like your fightning an uphill battle.

 

So far everything I have come up against I was able to win. But that does not mean anything. We have a lot of fast cars here in va beach, Trying to get them to have some fun. well thats a whole nother story.

That's why I switched camps... Got tired of internal engine mods and 500rwhp with bolt ons sounded good. The breaking straw was the 03 cobra with a pulley and exhaust that walked my 383 LT1. Now I'm in the same boat with a heavly modded 03

 

well we have not got to race yet..... but i am confident of the outcome
