Ford vs. GM TONIGHT!
Ok, both these cars are mine, so please dont delete this for a "what if". I should have results before 11PM tonight. Dad has already agreed to drive the 5.0 unless there is a HEAVY police presence around.
5.0: 3520 w/driver&gas. Full bolt-ons, heads, cam. 244whp/262#tq. Makes hp up to the 6K MSD chip. (575 demon carb, MSD pro-billet& 6AL)TKO500(5-speed) 4.10's
Trans Am: 01 WS6. RWHP unknown. Bone stock.6-speed. Weight with gas and NO driver 3540#
The race: 50mph-wheneverdadgivesup
The time: When I pick the car up from the shop tonight at around 9-10PM
The results: Should be in by 11 barring unforseen circumstances!
All you guys (and Rayven, lol) who have wanted to see my (STANGER88) 5.0 vs. My WS6 and see if I made the right decision or not, STAY TUNED!

All weights verified by D.O.T scales. I am leaving now to pick the car and my dad up (car is 60 miles away, dont expect a reply for 2 hours). Mentioned it again to my dad and he didnt say anything...usually means yes STILL ON!

Keep us posted, I'm almost positive that your WS6 will get it pretty good. Especially from a roll race like that. Y'all should go from a lower roll, or a dig, then it will be a better run, cuz a 50 roll seems high to me.

Your WS6 is likely (almost positively) making 65 more rwhp at least. And from the weights you posted, the stang might have a 200lb weight advantage at most. As stated above, unless you can't drive worth a ****, you will kill your stang.
I've been in my share of built 5.0s. The power in those motors comes on in a totally different way than an LS1. A 5.0 with a setup like yours will pull hard on the bottom end of each gear. The LS1 is exactly opposite, the bottom of each gear will be weaker and it'll pull harder and harder all the way till redline. Assuming your stang was making 40-50 more HP at the wheels it would be a closer race, but with numbers like that, the stang can't even use it's low end range advantage over you because it isn't making enough power to have a low end advantage. I think you mentioned before that your stang trapped 98mph, correct? If so, your WS6 is likely trapping 106ish mph if you can drive..... so you do the math.
Point being, you're going to kick that old stang in the *** like a bad habit.
