It's pointess to say "with these mods, car X can run this and smack cars Y AND Z from a roll" or something like that.
The bottom line is ANY car can be fast as hell. It just amounts to how hard you want to work, and how many thousands and thousands of dollars you want to spend on it.
I prefer to compare the cars stock for stock. There is not much that could compare to an LS1 in stock form. A lot of the cars out there need to be modded rather extensively just to hang with stock LS1s.

No it's funny your 408 only made 15 more rwhp than mine and I'm on bone stock 241 casting heads along with an LS6 intake.
