so we had a couple of miles to have fun on but it wasnt much of a race

old guy and his old wife got a 2007 c6z and i asked if he would wanna race to just see what would happen

he said not a snowball in hells chance you will even keep up

so after they left the gas station my friend and i decided to follow.

i got up next to him at 75 mph and he just launched it and before i realized it he was a couple cars ahead of me so i punched it and kept up slightly but he was pulling a little.

did a second run at 50 but this bastard just goes while giving me a 3-4 second disadvantage and had me at about 3-4 cars at 130

wish we could have raced at the same time i think it would have been close. but of course he would have beaten me but by how much

It definitely sucks when the other driver can't do an even start, but you would've gotten beat either way.

alot of older ppl do that ****.......i raced a guy in a z28.....we did a dig....he had LTs,hpp3,M/T dr, and a stall......i left on motor just to see what would happen....he jumped out anout 3 cars on me and i wasnt catching him....so i flipped on the magic switch...and did a little fly by.....it was funny....he thought he had it won ....anyway.....we slowed down and were going to do it again....he said there was no point if i was gonna spray ****.....so i said lets do a 20 roll and i'll keep it on motor.....so we get going 20...and right when i start to say on 3 honks he hits in on me....only getting maybe a 1/2 a car before i lay into it....i ended up pulling past him and winning by 1 and haft.........thank god for the 6-speed

******* in a pewter 'vert Z28 A4 did a fly-by type race against me when I first got my 5.0 finished. I was pissed. Then he had the nerve to say "your blower belt slipped" (my fan-belt was routed wrong as we were in a hurry and it sqeeked past 5K and on a downshift).

i havent gotten the chance to go to the track with the new heads and cam

but i may go to speedworld to find out what traps i have since i hvae no access to drag radials

and i put down 401/390 locked.

good death, too bad for the early starts on his part but at least once you got going it doesn't sound like he was pulling away TOO bad. I would love to run one just to see how bad i would get beat (like you said). it's all in good fun unless someone is being a dick...then you remind them that they just paid about $90,000 for their car and you bought yours for probably less than 20K, haha.

Don't complain about him getting an early start. You asked him to street race(which is illegal). He honestly said no(which doesn't make him a wuss). Then you decide to follow the guy(which you shouldn't have). Then the guy decides what the hell, lets see if this guy can keep up. If you're car was faster, you would have pulled on him regardless of whether or not he started early.
