a 4.6 liter v8 w/ supercharger that runs a high 12 stock isn't doing anything so spectacular.

You could say the same thing about a 2001 Trans Am SOM A4

No you could say the same thing about lots of imports running much smaller liter engines and much quicker times.

and + with a supercharger, I'd be looking for low 12's/high 11's.

Keep on E-racing buddy. When you get a car that can hang with a stock 03 Cobra then you are getting somewhere!

Certainly no imports/euros are looking to Ford for advice.

I can just look around ls1tech and find all the advice / sponsors I need to build that car that can hang with an 03 cobra.

Whats your excuse to be here?

With enough money you probably could make your single wide faster than a 03 Cobra. Whats your point?

find me the import that runs 12s stock with FI and ill shut up....until then, yea, it souns like were doing pretty good.....comparing modified import motors to a STOCK superchagred 03 cobra engine..when some turbo hondas only run high 13s, but many run much faster ill admit.

a pullied,tuned,CAI and Exhaust cobra will also smack the chirst out of a BPU supra with similar mods for MUCH less money and there basically the same thing. hmm two FI induction motors with the supra having the better form of FI (twins) and the cobra having the least better form, but the cobra wins? Sounds like the powerband is the only thing that matters, and the cobra has a better one there.

apples and oranges anyone?

exactly. what is the point of straight line performance. My car could be within a week of having all it needs to beat your precious 03 cobra.

I'm definately not promoting GM on a Ford website though.

and I think that alone makes.... me > you.

So you're trying to say your car is better than his 03 Cobra? All he has to do is call HP and get a twin system and he is good for 900rwhp before he needs to look into new internals. Wow, you are a clown.

the new evo is supposed to run high 12's stock on 2.0 liter motors.. you debated this yourself very intricately in another thread.

so that alone by your logic means stock for stock.. the Mitsubishi is better than your Ford in straight line performance and it's a new car unlike your base GTs.

But I could look across the board on AMG class benz'es and find lots of cars with FI I'd rather have than the Ford.. forget about money.. just be honest with yourself.. it's Ford.

2003 Audi RS6 4.2 12.63, LOTS of Porsches..

If I was gonna build a race car with a sole purpose just to beat an 03 cobra... theres lots of 10 year old imports that offer single turbo platforms that are technically better economically.

Wow this has nothing to do with the OP's kill. Stop talking about all this BS in his thread.

If you want to talk about your cobra's/stangs go to svt. There are plenty of people over there that will talk about all the cobra bs with you guys.

Second, stopsign32v, the Eaton is a relatively loud STOCK supercharger. You can definitely hear it WHINE LOUDLY when you get on the throttle. An intake will louden up the superchager A LOT, and smaller pulley even more so.

Ford sucks. I could care less either way, but the fact you're on here trying to hold this shadow of hope that some of us will give a **** about Ford and actually continueing to debate on a competitors forum says a lot about your character.



I appreciate learning. but you're just promoting your car. theres a lot better than ford when it comes to forced induction cars. Ford just actually made 2 years of a good one. why would you get so defensive?

well a good way to look at it is say to have a straw and one end is really big and can get alot of air in now the other end is really small. if you are sucking on the straw you can really only get so much outta the small end no matter how much you get into the large end.
