Had a buddy with a 90 AWD Talon and all he did was bigger injectors, boost controller, Downpipe and exhaust. He also took alot of weight out and i watched him beat a Dogde Viper on I-75. Little ******* are fast if you do the right mods. Be very carefull.............

I'm not claiming that DSMs are superior

I'm not claiming that 4 cylinders are superior to V8s

However, you seem to think I am. You're pretty much making all the same arguments that I am, except you think that insulting my DSM will hurt my feelings. Let me clue you in...
No, you just imply that in every post you make. Same difference.

If you're feelings weren't hurt you wouldn't take everything so personally and you wouldn't bother responding. Like I said, you're trying to make people respect your POS ricer on LS1tech, what are you thinking?? Get a life.

My first car in HS was a 71 Chevy Impalla. Every car my family owned for the first 24 years of my life was a chevy with a V6 or V8 in it, and it wasnt until 2002 that my parents actually bought a Subaru instead of a Chevy. The DSM was the first non chevy car I've ever owned, and I actually have a 73 Duster right now. My dream car is a 1968 RS Camaro, just like the one in Better off Dead.
The first step to recovery is admitting you have a problem

But I'm just an ignorant ricer. WTF do I know. I just like to do something different now and again, and suddenly I'm an ignorant ricer and the last 30 years of my life were spent preparing me for the moment that I had a DSM and you could call me a ricer. Oh, my feelings are hurt.
If I met you in real life I doubt we would have a problem. But here you are, trolling on LS1Tech about your car that nobody cares about. This isn't the place to brag about DSM's. Why is that so hard to understand??

Idiot child. You do not own a WS6, and you have no comprehension about the topic material at hand other than test driving an AWD import that wasnt even a DSM and claim that feathering the clutch for 500 feet was needed.
You don't evem know me, yet you somehow know what vehicles I do and do not own. That makes no sense at all.

I said you'd have to feather the clutch for 500ft if you took off at idle, to keep if from stalling. If you take off normally using the throttle thats obviously not necessary. Read before you post.

Thats as retarded as telling a network engineer that their token ring is lost in the ethernet somewhere, and you'll have to format the interface to find it. Get AIDS.
Sorry, I don't screw fat ugly dirty bitches that carry STD's. You seem to know something about that though.

Whats with ricers and fat chicks?? They can always be seen together

There are plenty of "shitty" imports that will make your car look like a boat anchor. Hell, my car prolly would, and its trapping 110 in the 1/8th.
But what do I know, its an import and its OBVIOUSLY my only car.

So you run 9.8x in the 1/4? Do you happen to have a time slip to post? That's a pretty serious ricer.

If I can find it tonight I'll post it up. I'm at work atm. Its not a full 1/4 pass, just the 1/8th.

110mph in the 1/8th is mostly mid to low 10's in our cars. That's about 140mph in the 1/4. Difficult to ET a 5spd AWD with high power. 9.8x would have to be a very good 60 which is easily done on a stalled rwd with slicks than a 5spd DSM. Case and point high 8sec EVOs/DSMs need 160mph.

Guess I just don't know much about AWD or FWD, turbo 4 bangers... I happen to have one of my timeslips in my hand right now from one of my mustangs:
R/T....050
60'...1.4
330...4.0
1/8...6.30 @ 109.4
1/4...9.90 @ 135

110 in the 1/8 is pretty impressive.

I have to admit - my wife is actually a better drag racer than I am. She takes the Talon out and rails on it pretty hard. I'm thinking of letting HER race it instead of me.

Yeah...135mph is anywhere from low 11's to mid 10's on our damn 5 spds. To get a solid 9, most are trapping 142mph+. That's just from my observations. So, if you hear of a 9sec DSM....it's moving up top haha.

Quinn, dust those loafers and head to the strip man. I'm hoping to trap in the 105-110mph range this year....in the 1/8th. I have actually never trapped over 100mph in the 1/8th. Maaaad top end yo. Just never laid down a good 1/8th.

Bandimere doesnt open for another few weeks, and I have a few things to take care of before then. That said, this is the year I put it all down with this car and cut loose with her until I get kicked off the track.

WHich should take all of 1 or 2 passes.
