EXACTLY!!!! It was a sales failure. Honduh does not build a car to sell very few/none of them! Just as the worshipped MKIV was a sales failure. If they were not, and were more abundant, they would not be as worshipped/thought of as soooo unbelieveably gorgeous (despite being able to be made extremely fast) and looked upon as such a rare "exotic" by so many on here and elsewhere. Same with the NSX. On the otherhand if the Vettes were not the sales success they ARE, therefore much more rare, you would think that C6/Z06 you see driving down the street looks pretty damned exotic (and it DOES have the performance to back it up!)!!

BTW; 300, I take it you are claiming the NSXs in their various iterations were/are just flying off of the dealer lots/showrooms over there in jolly old England and Europe/elsewhere??!

They don't discontinue cars that have a market or provide a Halo for a manufacturer. Two things the NSX doesn't have! Despite the Viper not selling it provides enough of a Halo for them to keep it in production. Plus its a world class sports car. And going from 400 to 450 to 500 to 600 hp with the new VVT V-10 they have always managed to be as fast as anything on the market. And Honda admitted there failings with the NSX, I didn't make that up its there opinion not mine!

What a pile of horse ****.

First off, nice kill. NSXs are not slow even by modern standards. Not fast either, but not slow. God job.

Secondly. Most of you are retards.

Question: How many people who are truly into cars define a cars worth by its acceleration from about 40 to about 120?

Answer: A class of them here in the US who generally have 0 talent and will never hit a road course or seldom the strip.

I usually dont bag on roll racing. if that what people are into, cool. This is SRK and sometimes a street dig simply aint gonna hapen.

But to call a car that is reliable, nice looking, comfortable and in the grand scheme of things pretty attainable a POS because it runs "high 13s" ( ) is pretty phucking stupid. The NSX is a drivers car. That means its a car that a non-god normal enthusiast can take on a average back road or track and get a great run in. A car that you can hit the limits of in a wide range of condiditions.
Try getting the absolute most out of almost any performance car on a road course. A Viper will murder the NSX no doubt. But put a novice driver in each for 5 laps of a local track and see what the times are. Lots, lots, LOTS closer than you magazine racers would think. Not because the two cars are so closely matched (IMHO they are not) but because the NSX is much easier to thrash than the Viper. The snake will bite you much more easaly, despite the NSX being an MR. And that means that you cant use all the capability of the Viper all the time unless your name is Archer.
Moreover, while diehards will never admit it (it would shake their manhood) the average driver will probably have more FUN in the NSX around a road course. Less time wondering if they can give it a bit more throttle and worrying about snap oversteer. More time adjusting the line.

Anyone who doesnt get what I am saying has about as much business talking about NSXs and Z06s as they do arguing the virtues of different types of nuclear reactors. Its like saying Australian Sheperds are crappy dogs because they get beat by Rotweilers in a fight. Stupid. Aussies are awesome dogs.
