Stock L.......you 'should' (and I say that loosely) beat him. L's are mid 13s (13.8 is on the poor/avg side). I would DEF look under his hood though.

As for being ported...you would hear it, before you see it...so I doubt it.

blast that mug. As long as its not like the last lightning I raced (700rwhp & roll cage) you will probably smoke him.

If he's TOTALLY stock and you ran 13.3 before the mods you just listed, you should have no trouble with him. Do everything you can to check on hidden/hard to find mods on his truck though, because very little could quickly put him right next to or in front of you. POST RESULTS!!!

You have nothing to worry about. With my mods and messed up synchros, 2 and 3rd gear, and spinning I put 2 1/2 lengths on one at the track with a smaller pulley and catback.

yeah i got to thinking, and i think the lightnings have like some sort of plastic peace that goes over the blower pullies, which will make it hard to see.

You just gave the bone stock numbers for an 05/06 GTO. No way an 04 GTO runs 13.07 bone stock and they run high 13's or 14. So an 04 will definitely have its hands full.

yeah best time i have heard of for a 05 GTO is 12.9, so i dont think a 04 would be 13.0

he backed out of it yesterday. Did'nt show up to the track nor did he pick up any calls. Good thing he did'nt come though car would'nt hook at all. I had about 10 runs last night about 6 of them were 14's high 14's at that 4 of them high 13's but the car did get faster to me I was trapping at 105 and 107 on some of the high 13's so I know if I were able to hook I would've ran a 12 something all day. It did'nt matter if I left hard or soft last night I would still leave rubber damn near the whole track.

I just put brand new rubber on a set of brand new zo6 wheels. Everyone was hooking though but everyone else was either running slick or drag radials

Shoot me an email if you decide to run. Atco's a good 3hrs from here, but worth the drive imo.

My neighbor and fellow car club member has an '01 with less than 10k miles. We ran from a 20 mph roll and I beat him by about a full length to 100. He couldn't believe it. I ran 13.80 with zero traction and hit 101 mph but I was bouncing off the limiter the last 50' or so. My guess is is he might run 13.9 or there abouts, he might be a little quicker because with some traction, I should be a 13.30-.40 myself.
