Most of the SRT8 cars put down around 365....A guy in NJ took his 300C SRT8 (the 4 door sedan) to Atco and I know he ran very low 13s in HOT weather and ran a best of 12.56 in great weather. The cars run well, and they do not die off at high speeds. Even in warm weather expect to see 105-106 MPH trap speeds and in cooler weather they run 108+. The cars are not slow for what they are....

From a dig the one to worry about is the Jeep GC SRT8 those things launch off the line like a jet off the flight deck! And there not as much heavier than the sedans as you would think they are. 12.5x's is like the high 11's some have run with C5 Z06's. Its possible but not repeatable.

365 to the wheels? That would be a VERY generous dynojet. A local guy had one at our last dyno day, bone stock and he put down about 275ish on a mustang dyno. He was PISSED! Not very impressive in my book.

BTW, that's uncorrected at 4500'.

The SRT-8s are pretty quick. I have seen a Grand Cherokee SRT-8 beat an LS2 GTO from a stop up to 140 when the GTO finally caught up. The chargers and 300s are no joke either. You should be able to win if you are a good driver. I raced one of the 300C SRT-8s with my SRT-4 with full bolt-ons that runs 12.2 and he stayed with me til 3rd gear at which point I got traction and walked him by about 3 car lengths up to 120. I wouldnt worry about them at all in my SS but then again its far from stock.

an srt8?? i'm going to call bullshit on that. they're not getting mid 13's in a 4000+ lb car on 275rwhp.

Since a bolt on LT1 is as fast as a stock LS1,sometimes faster, that doesnt make any sense.

And too the OP, they are nasty but all that weight makes them a good matchup on the highway, even for us slow bolt on LT1's

There strong point is from a low roll...off the line even at there weight they have traction problems. I was driving a normal Charger R/T and that thing was a dog!

i ran an srt-8 magnum once on the highway with 2 passengers and i beat him both times by like 2 cars. i was very happy with my car since all i had was a lid and catback at the time. Its funny though i got flammed for like 5 pages when i posted the kill. people just found it so unholy and unbelievable that my car could be a 350 horsepower boat in the top end!! i thought i was on a friggin SRT forum.

I raced the daytona edittion whatever charger srt8.....my buddy told me they were fast, after putting at least 5 cars on him from a dig off a light i shut it down...no point in keeping on he knew his car was a piece, they are heavy, and from what i have heard they have slow throttle response and a VERY strict conservative computer tune.

just my .02

the daytona and the srt8 aren't even the same car... it was one or the other. daytona's are rt's with stickers. superbee's are srt8's with stickers.

Well i dunno how many of you guys have actually went and raced one so, i'll post a couple of videos to give some ideas. From viewing a couple more vids and seeing them run on the track stock i don't see how possible they can run low 12's

SRT 8 Jeep vs (GTO wins don't listen to the person in the vid)06 GTO HERE

2 SRT8's running HERE

I went in to apply for a job at a dodge dealership one day and there was a new super bee in the showroom, the salesman said it had 420hp and i was wondering what kind of potential it had in a 1/4 mile. Makes you wonder though with a 4100 pound car running 12's what kind of numbers is the new challenger going to put up at the track and whats chevy going to bring to the table with the new camaro

The Dodges are torque managed to within an inch of there lifes. I haven't driven an SRT8 but the Hemi ones I have driven just don't feel like they have 390 lb ft in the lower gears.

i have seen one silver SRT8 charger at the track running high 12s, but it was far from stock, thing sounded nasty. I talked to a guy one while waiting to stage at MIR when i ran the time in my sig, he was in an RT and i didnt know squat about them at the time and i was asking how he was doing and he said he was doing mid 14s all day. I wasent impressed but i guess for just the standard RT that is decent considering once again the weight factor.
