I remember when my Cobra was stock. Let's see, it'd been twenty years since I'd been to a legitimate track and I owned myself when I line up on the tree, oops! I then roasted the crap outta the stock F1's and ran a scalding 13.6@116. Of course it didn't help to be lined up with a 10 second, wheel pulling Nova with a friggin' pit crew. The next run was better, staged up nicely, launched better with minimum spin and did a 12.8@117. The last run was the best when I beat a Lightning with a 12.6@116 to his 13.4@102. Shortly after that, the F1's and the CAI/Exhaust were modded.

Thats how my first time at the track went. My first run was in my stock 99 Cobra and I went 14.6@102mph. I then went a 14.0@103mph. At the end of the night I got the car to go 13.5@106mph. Stock 245s wouldn't allow me to do any better and I couldn't do better than a 1.9 60'. But there is nothing like the first time to the track.

^^ I know cobras have crazy top end but 117mph???... i dont know about that. Anyways, sticking to my original thread. I guess im goign to race him tonight for the price of the ticket... i dont think he knows i have nitrous (cuz i havnet told anyone) lol. Im goign to tell him to go from a roll since last time i got him from a dig, making him think he has an edge.....and then squeeze on his ***!!! lol

Yeah...no "stock" '03/'04 Cobra has gone 116-117mph. I went 115+ in mineshaft air at Atco, but it was so cold, the car didn't hook for **** on the stock F1's and went 12.8.

I wont call BS on the 116 trapps since some people swear a c5z06 can trap 117-118 bone stock...

And while all the mags got 121-127 for the c6z06...ranger did get a 129 trap..

So while it's HIGHLY unlikely...In the right air 116 is possible. 117..NO WAY..But MAYBE 116

A stock 03 Cobra is around 109-112mph.

Yep...I only made 5 passes as I recall while mine was bone stock.
111mph was the best I could get out of it. DA was about 2000'
and that was without powershifting since the stock shifter is crap.

I still pulled it off in 01 Z28 when I had it. Perfect conditions, on RSA's
12.92 at 110.02 mph.
65 Degrees out at Bremerton...

Funny you should mention that, the god damn flanges were on back *** wards on two of the pipes....that explains the lil exhaust leak I had..

all fixed now, and as close to stock as you will find one and you know it..

got 18's on now, that wont help at all but we will see what I pull Sunday afternoon if they decide to open...

She put down 383.6 bone stock, it was cold and the traps might be a couple of MPH high, it's been two years or more. The ET's were right on though. I always power shifted the Cobra, even with the stock shifter. Missed third a number of times too.
