I guess my car is special and the blower doesn't noticably whine when I rev it. I can here a slight whine while it Idles, it's just my exhaust is so loud I can't hear any whine when it's rev'ed I just tried it to make sure I wasn't full of crap. Like I said before, with those mods 11's are possible. Good kill anyway.

I've also heard the whine from the blower on my friends cobra when he revs.

You have to be a very good driver to run 11's with those mods.....especially with that IRS.

The trap speed will definatley be good for 11's tho

My best friend runs 11.79 with a 3" pulley, stock unported blower, full exhaust, KN intake, and a tune on the IRS.

In neutral, if you blip the throttle you only get a nano second of boost and then it drops off. I don't know what would happen if you lay the peddle on the floor other than bouncing off the rev limiter.

Our cars build boost under load is when you hear the GLORIOUS WHINE..other than that you may only hear a lil whine, but usually nothing you can hear over the exhaust, especially from across the street.

My "L" is the same way, now I have heard some prochargers making some serious whining all the time, but not the stock eatons. Hope this helps.

That said, maybe the dude was driving a V6 with a whine noisemaker

Now for the second you are beside a Cobra prior to him passing you, you will get a full dose of whine as he is under load and producing boost and whine. That whine will then turn into a mad exhaust note which I am sure you are familiar with.


We all know COBRA's never ever beat LS anything, (on this forum) so good kill.

Pullied/tuned cobras will run well into the 11s with some decent tires on the IRS. That is true.

I still don't think you would hear an eaton whine over any exhaust when just revving, unless he has problems with his blower and it is about to sieze

Get out of denial please. Look at my sig and that was the first time/first run ever at the track with my car. I don't even have a that small of a pulley. For that last freaking time for you doubters, Pullied cobras with a tune (mandatory), Catback, CAI, DR's = 11's. Quit the hating. I love LS1's and don't discount the fact they can run 11's with a cam, tune, and DR's. Give credit where credit is due. The cobra guy that was driving around reving sounds like a douche to me by the way.
