exotic for lunch - Noble M12 GTO3R
On my way back to work from lunch I was on the road to my work (which is long, straight and has no intersections) I got ran up on by one of my work friends driving his new acquisition :
Noble M12 GTO3R
http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Noble_(car)#Noble_M12
His was brand new and silver in color with a giant rear wing, twin turbo 3.0 v6 and 2300 lbs I'm sure makes for a fun ride. Stats say 0-60 in ~3.5 sec, about 350rwhp/330rwtq.
We both hit it and I left him far behind from 40-~100 (just boost, didn't spray him) but man what a sweet looking car. I didn't have any idea what it was I was up against but I knew it was exotic... He zipped past and waved as I turned into my work driveway.
What a great way to end the week.

Have you ran any recent times? Just wondering if your still a member of the "12sec club" cause it would be hard to walk that car running 12's. Never seen one in person but the photo's look awsome.

Haha, good catch, no new track times yet with the new setup.
My old N/A 5.3L heads/222 cam went 12.6@110.
I'm expecting low 11's high 10's with this setup. Should know pretty soon now that my tuning is coming around.

I work in Scottsdale. I dont even notice Porsches. Some guy around here has a 427ed C5 with a huge American flag motif on the back. That I notice. It sounds so damn good.
I see a NSX even about once a week.
Its sick how much money people here have. I really want to go hunting now that I think about it.

Standing ¼ Mile 12.2sec @115mph
I don't know if he plans on taking it to the track.

Wow. I would have expected a twin turboed V6 car that only weighs 2300 pounds to be faster than 12.2 and only trapping 115.

It's set up for road racing. The gearing, suspension, etc, is not exactly optimal for the dragstrip. I saw one in person at a local Porsche repair/mod shop that sells used cars on consignment, and it was MIGHTY sexy in person

My bonestock WS6 ran a 12.8 @ 110 mph and it only dynoed 327 rwhp. Im sure it weighed close to if not over 3400 pounds. I would think that 350 hp and OVER 1000 POUNDS less in weight would do better than that.

I'm sure there is a Noble owner out there who ran an 11.X stock, but its not the norm. Just like a 12.8 is not. That some damn fine driving there
And you probably had more WHP than a stock noble does. I bet they lay down about 300.

There are small differences in the newest Noble and the one that is showed in the picture, the one showed is a Noble M12 GTO3R, the newest one is just a Noble M400 with an extra 65 hp and 32ftlbs. Car and Driver turned 0-60 in 3.3 and 11.7 in the quarter. Still would have beat this car regardless but might have been slightly better. Nice kill, never seen one in person must have looked badass.
