Well i've seen my friend lose in his auto Ws6 to a v6 ford truck. It's all about who's driving the cars. I can see a 2.73 geared a4 Ls1 being a good match for a 96-97 m6 LT1. Both in the 13.6-13.8 range.

Just went and ran him again from about a 20 roll, pulled a good 2 cars by 120 and he wasn't gaining. Like I said if you're calling shens GTFO. Need a video? He's coming back in 30 minutes I'll go do it again.

Calling shens on something you're ignorant about? That's how you make an *** out of yourself.

And I have seen shitty drivers at the IRP runs 14's in LS1 cars. The drivers skill can make a world of difference. Instead of making an *** of yourself, commend the guy for having a strong LT1 and take it with a grain of salt...Gawd dayum.

I raced him AGAIN, and guess what? I lost. Yes, my LT1 lost to an LS1. I did have a 260lb camera man and I have a 200lb system. Weight is the deciding factor, when even I do pull on him. I will have pics/vids next weekend at the track as well as time slips.

Some LS1's are dogs, and some are runners. My current WS6 is roughly 3 tenths of a sec. faster then my former 00 Z28. Ehh, I could believe that you beat a stock WS6 that wasn't running all that well. On average he has a good 30whp on you, if his car is running right, and it sounds like he also gets your car out of the hole. Ehh, I dunno.

97 was the only year for the LT-4. Other than the turbo Firebird they were one of the fastest F-bodies ever!

I beat stock LS1's all the time in my 96 Z28... Not to mention that my car is far from stock.... Heads, ZZ409 Cam, SLP Midlength headers, 3" exhaust w/out cats, Flowmaster american thunder cat back with cutout... I need a tune and a clutch in a bad way though...

read the stickies if you cant take people calling you out on stupid comments dont post them.by stupid i mean MY LT1 IS AN LS1 KILLER if you were full bolt on geared cammed maybe.ive raced for a very long time.all im saying is your car has more than you think or his is down on power or he is a shitty driver.never said you are a liar i dont do that.the lt1 puts down 250 to the wheels thats being generousa very weak ls1 puts down 285 to thewheels.
and the ls1 car is a tad lighter due to the aluminum block.all im sayin is your car has more done than you think

if his car had all that i could see making that comment but bone stock no way.my buddy has the fastest bolt on lt1 ive seen and it runs the times that stock ls1s do.this is at the track were it really counts.all the stock lt1s run anywere from 1.0-1.5 slower than the ls1 cars.

You are right in the fact that LS1's are quicker, but I would say stock for stock its closer to .3-.9 tenths. The slowest LT1 (93 A4 Gu2) can do better that a 14.7.
The faster LT1 M6's run mid 13's. With a couple bolt ons low 13's.
Thats keeping up with the 00-02 LS1's, pending the driver.

Youre 1.5 difference is comparing the fastest LS1 time, which is not what every LS1 runs, against the most **** poor LT1 times Ive heard of... and that is bullshit.

Nice runs! Sounds like your LT1 runs freakin' awesome. So your car is either indeed a freak, or your buddy's LS1 has problems. Anyways could you take a video of your speedometer from like 20-100 or something at WOT? I'd like to see that.

i race at a track thats 3000ft on a really good day and lt1s stock run anywere from a 15.50 to a 14.90.my buddies ran a 13.99 this the fastest ive seen in person.if you done a d/a calculation it would be very low 13s.all the other bolt on lt1s there run low 14s and this is what stock ls1s run there.ive seen a couple cammed lt1s run 13.50s.all im saying is stock for stock there is no comparison if both cars are up on power with good driving the ls1 will win hands down.anyone on this board with a functional brain will agree.i never called any one a liar i said the ls1 had a problem or bad driving or the lt1 has more done to it than he thinks

i'm calling bs. nobody's car puts that much down stock. especially a 2000 that didnt come with the ls6 intake manifold. i dont give a **** if it is an m6, you dont have 5% drivetrain loss. 320's is pushing it for stock m6 fbodys.

hey dude, i have no reason to lie, i bought it, i dyno'd it, that was the number...if it had anything done, it wouldve been H/I...however visibly it had an SLP Maf, FIPK 2, and probably a tune. it was a waste, the old motor has a hole in the block the size of a softball.

yeah he had the ls1 manifold but the better cam.the cam in the 01 02 cars are the same pos that comes in the truck engine.the record holder SI is a 98 ss the 01-02 cars are not faster nor do they make any more power
