Default How does a Vortech S2000 compare?

I am going to race my buddies vortech supercharged s2000 that is stock with the exception of the s/c and catback. I have a 2000 Camaro SS with all boltons, m6, street tires, how will the outcome be?

I wouldn't shrug it off as nothing, they're light and they make about 240hp stock. With 8psi and close to ~300bhp which is pretty conservative. It would give you a run for your money.

Yeah you're right... Don't know why I thought it was less. Maybe I bought into what some S2K owner told me

you will win. the vortech kit comes with a 7lbs pulley and fmu. if he doesnt have a correct tune on the car which he really cant unless he goes full standalone (honda kinda screwed them) like an AEM standalone. My friends Vortech + aftercooler on 7psi put down 306whp @ 8000 rpm....... Below 3000 rpm he was still under 80whp..... His torque numbers where 165 @ 5500rpm. (or around there) so totally pointless. Uptop they are pretty nasty but it takes them forever to get going. Plus from a stop there rearend is a complete glass chin even more so then the GM 10-bolt. If they hook good once or twice on there stock rearend its donzo.

Foot Notes- You will win if drivers are equal.

I read on Import tuners they had a project S2000 w/ Vortech S/C and ran mid 14s consistantly. So yeah, they're turds.

now if they got a turbo + standalone they can get going. they are hitting high 10's on stock bottom end i beleive with a gt40r.

local girl has a gt30r set-up on her car and that bitch MOVES. full standalone @ 17psi + headgasket

you wont have 2. we already know whats gonna happen

but get a video so you can go post it on s2ki.com (the s2000 forum) and show them how much money they are wasting on there $6000 supercharger kits on a $25,000 4cyl....... imagine that kinda money in an ls1.......
