Well my friend just got an R6. He likes the bike but i think he's a bit over confident. I'm gonna try to stall him until summer is in it's prime and im running cam only & 4.10 gears on top of my current setup. So how do my odds look?

it is an R6... i would lower ur tire pressure and go from a digg... cause he's prolly gonna fight wheelies. but it depends if you can get outta the whole too.. racins racin... race him now and when you get modds... in my opinion...

But on the serious side what kind of tire do you have and RWHP? I wax bikes all day everyday. LOL That should **** the bike nutswingers off. With 400ish rwhp and a good sticky tire it should be a good race with you not that far behind. Now if he can't ride you have the win.

I think it might take more than a cam to beat him, but it should be a good run.

First off, what year R6 is it? I don't see a 400RWHP car beating one but I don't think you would be too far behind. Now with spray you've got 'em especially as the mph rises. From a dig you would need crazy traction to keep up with him. That's where 600s shine is from a stop up to maybe 130ish then your top end will creep up on him. I say race now and post up!

fwiw i think def think your gonna need spray to take him down . r6's are runners and if ridden properly can be a mid to hight 10 second bike off the showroom floor. but good luck

It sucks for us car guys,but we have plenty of modding to do,before even hanging with a sport bike.600s can pull 10s stock and it just gets faster as the cc increases.All im sayin is it sucks,but its fact.

i ran my buddys 2006 R6 with my 400+awhp evo from a 1st gear roll...went very short..probably up to the end of 3rd gear...but we were neck and neck...right next to each other...i think if i could of had a longer road and spooled 4th and 5th i woud have got him

top speed of the limited edtion new R6s it 165 with a tailwind down hill...been there done that... R1s 175 with about the same comditions....

an r6 is cool but I would take the ls1.
