Default 00 ta 07 gt and 98z

So last ngiht me and my buddies went cruisin. it was the first ngiht i had my car (2000 ta m6 stock) and my buddies got a 07 gt 5 sp and my iother one has a 98 z28 m6. my two buddies where lined up at a light and i was behind the gt well the light turned green and they both hit it. the camaro started walkin the gt right off the bat and i came up on the gt and swerved in the left lane blew by him and was catchin the z quick. now the mustang doesnt surprise me but the question i have is why arent my ta and my buddies z equal? its pretty much the same car. so any input would be helpful. thanx

oh yeah nad for my first day havin my car i raced and smoked a 2000ish gt and also tried to race a viper but that didnt go to well. i knew i didnt stand a chance but just wanted to kno where i stood up ya know?

so yeah theres my 2 first kills and would like to kno the answer to that question.

Thanx alot
DAn

Answer to your question is very simple...firebirds are faster than camaros!

But in reality, driver of the camaro could've been not as good as you or simply missed a gear or something.

was it just the 02's that came with the LS6 intake manifold or did the 00's have it to? not that would make a huge difference. You said you were catching him quick.

Naa all of them came with the ls6 intake manifold in 01 and 02. Only about 20% came with the ls6 block, thats probably what you are thinking.

Plain and simple

OFF TOPIC: I live in edgewater, MD but go to school in florida. Do you come around Annapolis or whatnot? What about going to crapitol raceway? Id like to checkout your bird.

Birds aren't faster than camaros, they are equal depending on year, model, and driver of course. I raced alot of stock vs. stock and it always came down to the driver. The thing about why you would do that to the 98 is probably cuz 98-99 had way less torque than the 00-02.

All three of the above cars mentioned should all be in the same ballpark. So if you just blew by them like they were standing still, they probably were standing still.

And Birds are a bit heavier, Z28 should be 50lbs or so less than formula, with about the same difference between SS and WS6.

Hard to miss me. There are usually no Hawks at the strip and to spot a formula Hawk is almost impossible. So when you see a black Formula Hawk, you know it's me
