Same here, but I've only raced/taken out one new mustang.

Oh and 04terminator, the mustang has always sold well, deserved or not (talking about the bad years, 71-2004), so I don't think its helping them that much, even though I would like them to do well, just like all the big three. Long live American muscle.

i was on the free way a few weeks ago and saw a yellow shelby gt brand new as well with a 40 yr old lady driving. we exit and pull to a light and i yell, "wanna go for a run?" and she said "no, because i'd hate to see a good looking guy like you die in an accident, my cars a 5 speed though" and i said "okay and thanks"

I don't know if I would group 71-04 together as "the bad years." Maybe 74-78. But the fox-body was spanking 3rd gen F-bodies, and the 99-04 GT/Mach 1/Cobras are not slow cars. As far as 94-98 is concerned, I wouldn't buy another GT (I had a '98) from those years unless it had a good amount of work done to it, but a Cobra? Hell yeah. Now I do think that the GT should have been more powerful from 94-04 (maybe 260hp in '94 and 300hp in '99), but that's what modding is for

Good kill man, I raced one a few weeks ago. My friend has one and he has a Manual Trans., Exhaust, CAI, and Throttle Body...... and runs 13.3 @ 108 so its not too bad for what he has when you consider the tires spinning 1st and 2nd... I lost, he had me by about a car or so; but your right though some mustang owners take it a little too far with their ego's. Like they can't be beaten. Keep em in check

Define "bad" cause I meant bad looking I guess my mustang bias showed through there I personally would only own a 69-70 or an 05+. Also, I think Mach 1s and Cobras are in a different class kinda like the black bird editions. Good feelings all around though.

PS, a 3rd gen would kill a Fox in the turns, not to mention they are beautiful

True to a point. Most 3rd gens where TBI 350's and 305's,
The 305 TPI's where somewhat gutless, but the L98 350's held thier own though. The GTA's and Iroc-Z's are cool cars no doubt.
The last year of the L98 was 92, and I believe it was 225hp/340tq.
Thats more than a 95 Mustang GT.

Regardless, of how much HP the mods gave, he isn't stock and the GT was. No one is making excuses about anything. We gave him credit. A fair kill is a fair kill and it was expected. But he is still modded and smoked a STOCK GT that had a passenger.

But that's not his fault. Run what you brung. Good kill OP.

Good kill, most of the people that have 05 up GTs think that thier car is so much faster than the 99-04s (mustangs). Before my Cobra i had an 04 GT with 4.10s, O/R H pipe, and a predator. I loved the look on these stuck up fools when I waxed them with a mostly stock 04 GT. I love it even more when they pull up to the ol five oh....... Im just waiting on the unsuspecting GT500 uppity *****

Nice kill.....I dont think they are overated but in stock form they arent very impressive. I have ran 2 05+ GT's and i didnt think either of them were impressive. But my friend has a bolt on GT that seems to run pretty strong.

And why are you guys assuming the stang he ran was stock? The original OP never said if he was stock of not

[QUOTE=ponygt65]S197s are low end cars. From a roll, they fall fairly flat on his face.
