Yeah, unless like whoever it was that mentioned the Crossfire injection, that I could see. Myself, I know I can keep up with a C5 in my LS1 (well, within 20 feet) and I realize a supercharger adds power (it is a "power adder" after all) and the Ion seems like a fast car but I'd like to see it in action. I'd also like to slap the C5 owner whose car puts out 282 rwhp with bolt-ons. That is just abuse. I move to amend the law to include vehicles in abuse cases. The guy who doesn't change his Vette's oil (not this guy, a different one. He's not on here, I met him at a car show once, he sucked) until the low oil gauge comes on should be arrested!

I'm not saying the ion is slow, just give us some numbers, and weight has nothing to do with how much power the engine produces, just how it is used.

actually if you want to be techinical it does if you hav bigger heavier rims it takes more force to rotate them reducing power... but anywho i was just saying it was lighter for the race becuase weight can change the outcom of a race just as power can

I think the formula is 7 pounds of static weight for every pound of rotational weight. So, if ya lose 100 Lbs. of rotational mass it's like putting your car on a 700 Lb. diet.

Getting technical, I was talking crank horsepower, not rwhp. Should have specified that, sorry.

heres my stage 5 " ion " vs a bolt on c5 that went 12.6 at 111

and a roll off with a 04 stock cobra, soon as he came up on me i slowed down, at the end he didn;t not pull me that hard. at the end u can hear my friend say " almighty cobra " lol

am i a tru saturn fan HELL NO, but honestly its SO much fun to roll up on new gt's, mild ws6's, and SS's, stock vettes, and esp the 5.7l gto's or any other mild bolt on car. and just yank them and see look on there face. just because a car's shell says saturn doesn't mean u should judge it cause u could be in for a surprised. i mean aren't there 7 second solaras??!! in the NHRA ? IMO u can't judge any car by its shell anymore. other day i got WRECKED by a dodge neon expresso !!! little did i know hes one of the only people in the state with a ????? swap and it being stage 1, FULLY gutted lol. car was SICK. this thread was posted just to open minds...NOT to start **** or diss LS1'S because i love the ss's and ws6's, alot of my friends have them.

Uuhhhh...the vette was pulling hard until jamming brakes for traffic. Couldn't get the vid to work for the cobra, but I have a feeling it's useless to try any more.

Way to dig up an old thread and post your deaths. Your pretty slow as fast cars go...pretty fast as Saturns go.

that last video didn't look like a cobra......I've never seen one with a bumper like that before...and where is the supercharger whine that is acustomed to a 03 04 cobra....you can hear that over any exhaust.

I am guessing the ion was the camera car. The first of the two vids posted, the ion was the camera car.
