I thought LT1's were quick Well I'm heading to work at 8:00am and I see a what looks to be dark purple LT1 Camaro in my rear view. We go under a big bridge side by side and my exhaust is over powering through it. 
Anyways...he didn't do anything. At first I thought it was a V6 so I didn't bother. Well at a light I am stuck behind him. Light turns green and he gives it gas. I see pancake tail pipes and black Z28 badges. OOOO Its a Z28 that wants to play. Just so happens the next redlight catches us. Uh oh...I get next to him but place my nose at his door to give him a chance. Light turns green and he punches it and his tires screech. I ease out the clutch then WOT when I'm in gear. 1st blows away the tires, granny shift into 2nd and still have no sign of traction but I'm pulling past him sideways on radial tires. When my car caught traction at the top of 2nd I had a nose on him. LOL half way through 3rd I had gained 5 carlengths on him. 
I thought these things were supose to be quick? 
Oh well...another bowtie falls against the 5.slow. He atleast gave me a halfass wave as I was turning into work on up the road. Took him 2 miles to catch back up.

When I had my 96 Z28 I ran either a 99 or an 01 Cobra, not sure, and I had him all the way until about 120 when he inched past me. Bad thing is I was all stock and he had atleast exhaust and he was alone and I had a passenger. To make it even worse I was an A4.

seriously, I've killed so many different mustangs and never posted about them. it's not even funny.
It IS funny when the older experienced guys post these amazing "feats", as if it was some accomplishment.

We all know LT1's trap around 100 flat so they are not slow, but they are not scary. Now take a 93 5.0 (stock) and a 93 Z28 (stock) and the 5.0 would trap 97ish vs 100ish for the Camaro. LS1's on the other hand really change everything with stock traps of 105-108 stock. If GM still made the LT1....the HP war would be a little more even with the 05 GT....not that any of this matters. They are not slow, just a bit pokey by today's standards.

Where u from stopsign....ill run you and i just have a few bolt ons and am about to put a minor cam on....and if u want ur bottle i got one of those to....so whichever u want....btw on motor i should be around 340whp and on the 75 shot 400whp or i can use the 100 jets....

This is a pretty gay thread. I beat a few stock lt1s with my old engine. My old engine was not special at all. I would sure hope a healthy h/c/i car could take it. Post your kill, just don't be a schmuck aboot it.
