roush is retarded, these arent even close to 427 cube motors why call it a 427 besides to make yourself look idiotic. its a stock cube motor with some dumb crap done to it, another waste of money roush product. nice rapage.

what are you talkin about over rating? they prob really make 427 bhp, the 60hp loss is through the drive train to the rear wheels. either way there still slow for the $$$

It seems they did it for the intimidation factor, and I call BS on it making exactly 427 HP, 425 would have been a good rating. They just wanted to use 427 like you said, so people think its CI.

 

It's not really any different than when people call the LS1 a "350." It's not really a "350," but it just sounds cooler.

 

on a side note went to the track and saw a new saleen run 13.50's allnight. 50g's well spent

 

We all know that a normal S281 isn't any faster than a regular GT. And they aren't quite $50k... last I checked it was $42k. Still overpriced, but not $50k. And you can't use 1/4 mile times to justify/disqualify price, because a C5 wasn't much faster in the 1/4 than an LS1 Formula, yet it cost ~$20k more. Of course the Corvette was much better overall, but still.

 

I suppose a Formula with 20 k thrown at it could be pretty touch to beat.
