96 LT1 cam only VS. intake/exhaust 03 Cobra well gentleman, the time has arrived where I run a cobra with my cam only lt1. 1 passenger in the cobra (filmer) and no passengers with me.
Cobra mods:
2003
stock tuning
steeda short ram intake
off road x pipe
magnaflow catback
short throw shifter
STOCK BLOWER/PULLEYS!
Race 1:
I had the inside lane. On the third honk, I jumped on it ... maybe almost too early. We decided it wasnt a fair race becuase it was slightly on a turn with the benefit on my side. 45-80mph

Race 2:
Dead stop. man, i cant launch for ****! cobra had a better launch. you can hear my tires squeelin all through 1st. Im also posting this video up so you all can hear the blower. im not making this **** up. We decided that this wasnt really fair either.

Race 3:
2nd gear stomp. 35mph. I was hoping my low end LT1 power would benefit here ... especially when its where my peak torque is at with the new cam. brought it up to around 90mph at the end and shut down. as you can see in the video, i put about a half fender on him. look where my headlights start, and look where they end.

Wow is all I can say. He was very impressed with my car. I snapped a few pics just to prove it was a cobra. This is no BS thread. ... and for some particulat person in my other thread where i beat an ls2 gto .... WHAT NOW! haha

Nice vids. Even at night, they were pretty good.
Some advice for your friend.....get a tune. With a CAI, and midpipe, he is most likely running lean, and hurting himself.

Considering your power disadvantage, you showed that there are still lt1's that can hold their own against a modern car

Hey everyone its the Cobra that didnt get beat bullsh*t Ight lets clear somethings up here real quick... I have no tuning no offroad x pipe. Any way the first race was def not fair then the second race you all see me take off that was fair on my part not him he just couldnt get traction and finally that final race he didnt pull on me at all we were next to each other then i seen the light and i broke before he started to brake so obviously the other car would pass me duhhhh. On top of that i wasnt even paying attention to what rpm/speed i started at i honked real quick and just went so whos the say that was even fair but to sit here and post a kill is bullsh*t and im not having it have fun and stay safe out there.
