LT1(95-97): M6 CAI,Headers,catback,cutout,1.6rr's,PCM tune. This setup should put an my lt1 near 300 rwhp. Right on par w/ an ls1. Now come 120+ mph I can see the LS1 pulling away still. On the street I'd say an A4 would need a stall.

I used to own a 93 a4 formula and now have a 96 m6 and from owning them both at the same time for a month. The 96 pulls soo much harder. Then again the 93 had 100k and the 96 only 30k.
What's the point in having a catback exhaust AND a cutout?

Some exhaust is still going to not go through the cutout. I would think if you had a factory muffler w/ a cutout. Vs. a good catback and cutout the other setup is going to flow better. Not all your exhaust goes out your cutout, it's just a y pipe.

Ugh, did all this start b/c I said I had different experiences? Srsly, I have been beaten by a few LS1's sure, but most of my races are on the street and we all know anything can happen on the street. Texas TA I started ripping into and finishing the header install today and got the engine bolted in mostly, so it might be running kinda soon...
