Obviously you need some education on GT500s. Ha...ha...ha. Hell, it was close to 110 as Doug described it.

And for those that speculate the car has an intake and tune, don't you mean pulley and tune? The car is a supercharged...an iron block version of the Ford GT 5.4 powerplant...

Just keeping facts straight.

Thanks for keeping the facts straight.

Do you hear a lot of whine from Stock GT 500's. I ask because this gt 500 was whining like a SOB. When he downshifted I still had my window down and could hear the supercharger rapidly making BOOST and a very noticable WHINE like most pullied cars do. Just asking because I don't have much experience with the Gt 500's. 04 Cobra, maybe you can help. Stock whine volume VS pullied whine volume ??

Then from 115-140 I pulled an additional 1 1/2 cars on him. Like I said before had we went into 5th I'd have disappeared on him. Louis and company at LG Motorsports really did a great job on the car. I think she is far stronger up top then on the bottom. Seems to run better above 100 mph then it does below 100. I don't know how to explain that other then the way the car feels. She pulls hard to 100 and pulls harder above 100, especially in 5th gear above 145 mph. Maybe there is something to the VaraRam CAI.
That hit the nail on the head right there!

The wine from an eaton is very noticeable under load, even stock. It's possible this fella had a pulley and tune. IDK...but i doubt it. These cars run mid 12s right off the showroom floor with a decent driver. A good pulley and tune with a tire would be an 11 second car. The thing is fat, but it hauls it's fat *** pretty well.

I want one, but not with the dealer addendums...I had first shot at a white with blue stripes car at my dealership. Window was mid 40K as I recall...they said I could have it for 70K...NO THANK YOU. When/if the prices get back to suggested retail, I'll buy one and immediately bolt on a KB, tune and some good tires. I think it would make for a poor man's GT...kinda.

edit:The wine is especially loud when your window is down and his front bumper is at your door or behind it (you in front).

04 cobra, I am going to bet he was pullied and tuned because my car is a lot quicker then the 12.3 1/4 suggests. That was with limited traction. From an 80 roll I had all the traction in the world. To have several hundred lbs weight adv and 40 + rwhp adv plus aerodynamics I should have been more then 2 cars ahead. JMO but he had something done to hang like that.

That whine was mind numbing, so glad I don't have to listen to it in my car. I love N/A but I can see a turbo 402 in my future.

That's exactly why I don't think he was stock. I think he had just and intake and tune though. But he could've had more. Next time have that camera ready!

Like I said. I doubt it. I don't condone mag racing, but a rock stock GT500 has gone a traction limited 12.2x. Drag coefficient is .38. Bad but not terrible.

If I owned a GT500 and had pulleyed the car with a tune and couldn't run better than a stock GT500, I'd give up driving or smack the tuner.

But, i will give you credit. You killed the GT500 and it was a good kill. You have a very fast car...especially up top.

I like wine!

Seriously though, the blower noise is not loud at all from the seat when just driving around normally. I've had the opportunity to drive and ride in a GT500 and didn't think it was bad.

Edit: Probably a little louder than my 06S281E.

Are you serious? I was right beside one just yesterday at a redlight (with cars in front of us) and when we pulled I never heard any indication (whine) that this guy's car was even "supercharged" at all! Neither of us were under heavy acceleration, but we were still acknowledging the fact that we knew we were beside another sportscar by taking it to about 3K before shifts. It can't be that loud.

Well, this guy sure isn't a Prime example of a "good driver".....but he traps 109 bone stock, and a best of 119 with CAI, pulley, tune, colder plugs, and cat delete.

GT500 with below par driver
