GOOD KILL !!!
The Shelby GT500KR is not slated for production until the spring of 2008! No way it was a KR. He probably just added some aftermarket hood pins to his GT500. Now the Shelby GT, the 319hp version, does come with hood pins, but I don't think it would have kept up that well, unless it was one with the optional supercharger.

It's pretty hard to stop a cars pull when it has a fast run on you like that....to pull away, is even tougher.
Definitely!

Not to hijack.... but whats the deal... there are gt500's now and there are also Shelby GT's? Are some of them not 500's? Like a GT 350 or something? Just curious, Ive seen a few of those around town but I dont think they are 500's....
There is a hertz (GT350H) edition. Basically a GT with appearance package and (I think) a tune. No big deal. There are so many tuner mustangs running around, it's impossible to keep up with them all. Most are just dealer or owner-installed decals and/or body kits. Saleen, Roush, Cervini's...the list is long with varying levels of modifications.

Oh well, the GT500 guy could have been in a hurry...

Anyways, good kill. Your car is nasty, no doubt about that man.

I tried to race him straight up dawg...he just wasn't having it.

No way would it have competed at that speed,...at that power level. Just not possible bro.

Yea good kill for sure either way. I was curious cause there are probally 4 of them around town that everyones calling "GT 500's" or "Ellanore." -how ever u spell it- I think most of these are just Shelby GT's. Maybe Shelby has a special series of Gt and then the 500 is like all their daddys or something. Im sure one of these cobra guys can explain whats the deal...

I've seen too many red ones (they have the availble charcoal/red combo interior which is nice) and not sure I like the grabber orange even if it is somewhat rare.
+1 on that. It seems that the red ones are all that I see in person (other than at a car show).

I tell you what though, I saw some pics of the new limited black with red stripe color package the other day...that was pretty damned hot!

The GT500 are the bad *** S/C ones. The Shelby GT are a cheaper version. Basically they are just a normal GT with a few bolt-ons and some body stuff...a.k.a. marketing gimmick.

Thanks man.
What kind of power are you making at the wheels with your setup? Or better yet, what is your setup?

Nice kill man

He has plenty of power to handle any GT500 that may come his way, especially one at full weight.
I cant wait till someone comes looking for the Stormtrooper with their 700 or whatever rwhp GT500, so they can see what real power is all about!!

Yadayadayada, if that thing pulls up next to him on a street tire, it may actually be a better race than you think, but then again, when was the last time you actually saw a 9 second car driving down the highway?

Since we're playing 'I know someone with a badder car', V-series' cousin has a Z06 that would whoop the **** out of that GT500 on the street....

There were two of them at New York International speedway which is about 40 minutes from my house in Rochester, NY. Both did not crack the 13's. The best was 13.08. One of the owner's were interviewed while the track was being cleaned up after a transmission spill. He said he was taking it easy.
It was an awesome looking car though.

Ummmm...I drove one yesterday and drove my other one...I guess it was a couple of weekends ago now up to the friday night street wars.

My friend has a car that would drag your friend's ***...

I don't need to know someone with a badder car.
