In fact the Shelby is the BIGGEST waste of a 500 hp drive train that I've possibly ever seen (other than say a maybach or bentley, in which case its a bentley so it gets an omission)

It may not have been stock if you were putting a "steady" pull on @ 580 rwhp then it definatly wasn't stock. I put a hefty "walk" on stock GT500s.

420 to 430 rwhp vs 470 and 350 to 400 lbs lighter.

What a POS car.

My rant is done.
yea...I can't really afford one either.

Adjusted dealer markup is ridiculous. Anyone who pays it is a moron IMO.
You can't blame Ford for that. MSRP is extremely reasonable for that car.
$43K is nothing these days.

So, do you discredit 130mph traps with simple mods out of a $43K car?
Discredit would be the wrong word. Bitter they insist on shoving alot of power into a boat is a more reasonable statement.

Ever since the C6Z came out I thought Ford would catch on, then again heavy cars are cheaper on insurance because they're "safer" right?

Drove one of the first GT500's in WA wasn't that impressed....and I was thinking they would trap in the 119-120 mph range....not...can't wait to show one my rear bumper!

Could it have been the 600 hp Super Snake?

Likewise man. Likewise.

I'd use some steril wipes before you would shake sprayjunkies though, especially after he see's bluethunder.

Don't the GT500's have BUNK tunes in them outta the box,..until a certain amount of mileage or something? Thats what I was told,.. that could explain that,..although I have never been in one/driven one.
