He took a moment longer and then noticed that I had a frig'n race helmet in the deck bay for race track use and the Strictly Performance Motorsports (Cuz stickers make your **** faster!!!.....that was for you Sasha...... lmao!) decal on the deck glass which is my buddy's LS based Hi-Po shop and then turned and says "wanna go?!!".... I'm thinking NO cuz I'm just ballz tired but I don't even answer the question!! ... It's 5:30 in the morning by this time!
... We get out of the parking lot and he starts to try and coax me into racing with rev bursts at every green light on the way to the freeway. He'd basically race half a block until he looked back in his rear view mirror and realized that I wasn't go'n for it,.....yet!. So I keep one eye on my radar scanner for a few and then figure "**** IT!!" ... I wait until we reach the on-ramp and he hits it again and then I PUNCH IT HARD!!!... Not only is my baby and I SCREAMING past him but I cross through 7 cars go'n up the ramp also. Now I'm try'n to find him in my rear view mirror about 1/4 mile later but I don't see him. Guess he threw in the towel after that! Best part was the look on his face as I was passing. It was literally the... "Oh ****!!!" look!

I just looked at his myspace. It had another picture of his car with his hood open. No forced induction. SLP lid is all I could really tell.
I would have to say that this wasn't a fair race.
He has this race posted on his myspace too "same story that's here".
I would say, if he didn't have heads/cam/headers, he would have been waxed.
I know that if i wanted to race someone and after a couple attempts, they didn't bite. I would be hesitant to try any further.. THEN to see them just FLY by me on an on ramp swerving around other cars, well, that would just **** me off.
I like the "even" raced, one two three count or honk, or even the mutual gas'n at the same time.
I'm sure he punched it from behind too so by the time the GT500 punched it, this douche already had momentum built up.

While the OP might be exaggerating a bit I don’t think it would take all that much for a LS1 F-body to beat the GT500. I walked on every single GT500 I raced when my car was bone stock….that’s around 365rwhp. It would take a F-body about 400rwhp to pull away. You don’t need H/C to pull those numbers, just a little spray. IMO the GT500 is one of the biggest disappointments ever.

Yeah, complete disappointment. Basically bulletproof rotating assembly, good fuel system... huge disappointment

^ Drivetrain is solid but the vehicle sucks just like most svt vehicles. They are too heavy(4k wtf?) and you would have to be a ******* retard to spend the 60-70k that they are going for. A vette is by far a better bargain! GT500s suck!!

i do believe that even if the gt500's are around 4000lbs....the 200 more horseswould be more than enough to take care of a stock fbody...since the OP isnt listing any mods...the only thing i can think of is hes car is stock...im not a big fan of the gt500's...but they are quick for what they are

not putting down the new vettes at all cause im actually in the process of trading for a supercharged c6. but if a bone stock c6 WALKS a gt500 then thats a driver error, a lightly modded c6 will take out a gt500 with ease and a z06 will destroy but im not makin to much more power than a gt500 and i can walk lightly modded c6 pretty bad

Evan Smith Got a 12.2 out of the GT500 completely stock. They let a few "normal" talent drive the car and got mid 12s. 12.7 even with the trac. control on. I'd say it's a driver's race with a stock C6. Evan Smith commented that the car was easily capable of 11s with decent tires.
