M5 got spanked
Coming home today a brand new M5 still with paper plates got smoked. He pulled along side of me twice on the freeway I quess to see what his $80,000 + BMW could do against a old 99 FRC. Down shifted to 3rd gearing doing about 4100 rpms I let him jump me before you could bleak an eye I pulled him by over 2 car lenghts. Damn sure beats running all those SUV's and trucks right Bay Area SS

Good kill on the Beamer bro. Reminds me of the race I had in Illinois driving home from Lg Motorsports. Killed him rather easily. As far as one going 200 mph, I doubt it. If the new beamer can go 200 why didn't the boys I raced try to hang ???

Is 430 rwhp (assuming that is what they make in M mode) enough to propel a 4000+ pound car to 200 mph ?? I can't prove you wrong, but I highly doubt it. Can you post some proof. Maybe a link ......
Well here's one from the M5/M6 board where an M6 that I believe to be stock (other than the limiter being removed) hits 335km/h, verified by GPS http://www.m5board.com/vbulletin/sho...un+m6+portugal . And here's a video of an M5 (again, I believe it's just stock with no limiter) that hits 310km/h, but it's the end of the speedo. http://aolsearch.aol.com/aol/redir?s...ion=WebResults
I'm not gonna look around for anymore, but just take a look on some BMW Forums and whatnot... there's alot of info out there.

There's just something about how nice those cars are... Quick is great but it ain't everything.

Not being arguementative but I am asking this in question form to hopefully learn from your experience or knowledge.
Lets say you take 3 V10 M5's and they way 4000, 4750, and 5500 lbs, exact cars with the only difference being the weight by adding load. All 3 cars will go the same speed ?? I question it because it doesn't make total sense to me. I fully understand that the weight is going to effect the acceleration but it seems to me that the weight is going to have some sort of effect on the overall top speed of a vehicle.
