sorta ontopic: I thought they were going to offer a "top dog" "EVO" variant for around 90K to pimp around the AM DB7 folks?

Yeah, but getting around 400HP from a FI 3.5L is easy anymore. Its still hard for a NA obviously. You just use some of the newer Garret hardware on a .63ARish hotside, halfway decent cams, and a safe but not retarded compression ratio. The way they design heads anymore, the engine will flow that much air pretty easy.

IIRC guys running basic kits from APS and the like hit 400WHP on very manageable 10PSI or so boost levels with very streetable turbos. Nissan could probably even run something along the lines of an old school T-28 and get 400HP at the crank easy. And that car would have insta-TQ at all times, virtually no lag.

And with the Skyline coming out, you know they already have done the RD on turboing a VQ engine. They could probably use the same exact manifolds as the Skyline on a smaller frame turbo. Use a similar ECU, the same pistons with a different wrist pin height, the same fuel pump and injectors, the MAf they already have, and take advantage of the fact that they have a jet engine intake sized hole in the front for an IC

The Brits get like 60K Pound Evo FQ 400s. Thats about 90K in USD. An FQ 400 would probably murder a DB9.
