I watched this 0-200 MPH Road & Track shootout, fully expecting to see capn smokey's car there, but I guess he didn't make it.

This is one of my favorite quotes by him. It is referring to a race between a LT1 and a S-197 Stang.

i bet he could easily do 140mph in it. i did 140 in my stock-engine 95formula lt1 m6 car not even 10 minutes after i bought it
(id just never had that kind of power or that many gears before-haha) i havent done it since...
also,is it really that shakey when you get up closer to 200? at 140 my car was smooth like it was riding on glass but the suspension isnt stock... now my mustang felt scary over 100mph!-and that is with aftermarket suspension as well! so going from a mustang to fbody made the formula feel very stable at high speed...

Yes, your car will shake extremely hard the higher you go. Especially if it wasn't designed for that.

I have an Eibach Kit with some damn good Tires(at the time..lol), and got mine up to 165+ on a wide road in a really flat area, middle of the day. There was pretty much no traffic around, that is why I did it. I had the LT1 at the time, no doubt in my mind that the new Engine will do it(hits 140's quick), but I am not trying..unless it's on a Track.
It was very stable, suprisingly stable, but that is what is scary also.

What makes you think a stock LT1 cant do 160? My buddies 93 Formula would bury the speedo when it was bone-stock and those are the shittiest of all LT1s. It took him a while to get there but he did it multiple times, and i actually do have a video of that. A guy was caught doing 147 on a speed camera in Arizona in a Hyundia Sonata, and I have had a Toyota Camry up to 143(scary as hell!). So speeds of that nature do not require much power or awesome aerodynamics and for the last time I did not say I could do 200, just close like maybe 190. ****!! Here I am arguing with you guys again, I guess I just cant stop. Oh well, youll all be eating your words soon.
