SO a 5.0('89-93') with a CAI, header back exhaust, 3.73's(it's a stick), and a 50 or a 100 shot wants to race my friends STI, which is pretty quick. It's a stage 2 Cobb STI, and turbo back exhaust.

How do you think it will go?

I think it will be a good race. STI should be in mid 12's and stang should be somewhere around there too.

Make sure sure you get a video when they race.

probly into a locked thread but id say the sti would pee on him pretty good from dig and well a 50 or a hundred shot is a coupla more hp. more deatails for a better assement. u gonna witness this if so get a vid id wanna see it

Not on et streets, it would be toilet trainning for the Sti! If the 5.0 launches on the spray fogetaboutit!!!

Yeah right....the sti will own on the 50 shot and probably still edge it out on the 100 shot.

It is on stock street tires, and a 50 shot fox with ET's will not pull and STI off the line.

my freind actually has a stage 2 cobb sti pretty quick car and yes, off the line there insane. he launched with me ONCE in the car and i swear to god on street tires, it felt like i was being punched in the guy by a VERY angry man. i loved it lol. should be a good race but i think the edge might go to the fox by a hair. spray is one HELL of a rush. on my 03 cobra a 35 shot was something to handle....i dont go on nitrous runs by myself anymore lol.

Yeah as long as the guy inth e STI has little to no fear of blowing driveline parts.....its curtains for the 5.0..... If he was hooknig good...and running a 125 shot...hed be in the hunt....maybe walking out with an STI carcass..but a street tired 50 shot 5.0...hmmm..tell him i said sorry he lost..haha

My fox cuts 1.63 60's with no power adder with no suspension, what the heck are you guys smokin? stock heads cai e-cam lt's 373's h pipe.12.89 with 1.63 60ft stock heads and intake.Oh yeah 140k miles! leaking oil like a n import!

Yeah..but you can likely drive better than 90 percent of the people that own cars that have this potential

Plus what tires you runnin?

And is there any streets near your house prepped as well as the track you got those numbers from?

The sti will hook in the rain if it has to...AWD is beautiful..lol

The sti would hook on a 90 degree angle.....with 5 inches of snow on the ground...with bald tires....ive been in one, scary ******* ****.

I am running et streets my brother ,you have 4wheel drive and I have two. To compare in the rain is stupid because I am not auto crossing my 5.0 awd is beautiful if you are in Alaska but on dry land with the compitition with the right traction especialy American v8's you can't compare without spending an un reasonable amount on the little pocket rocket that you have.We are not into rally racing!

This is a perfect example my 90 coupe cai e-cam stock heads lt's hpipe and 3.73 gears! the Suby had a turbo upgrade down pipe and minus the passenger seat.

I was just saying..the surface on the street is always the best..ask my buddy on here about chasing down an sti with 450 whp....with his 150 shot m6 ls1.....he lost the the 60ft battle..and had to run him down..thats all im saying..

this sti has more motor than the 5.0..weighs a LITTLE more....and is going to leave hard...the 5.0 MIGHT leave hard...if things go well for him....

BTW not saying foxbodies cant go fast....with just a little work....and about 50 cents in parts...I've owned 2 already...

Thats awesome!! If had a run in with you I would just have to laugh my *** off at the beat down you would have delivered to my car. I have yet to lose but that would be the kicker. "yeah the first car that beat my cammed LS1 was a 2.3L 4banger Fox-body with a turbo off of an f-in semi-truck." That **** would be hiliarious.

Back on topic. I would give the edge to the STI if the guy knows how to drive it. Those ***** get out of the whole like no other. In my auto LT1 I would always get beat of the line even when I hooked against non STI WRX's.

I'd love to see a vid of this. I'm gonna go with the STI, ONLY because the fox is on street tires. Ford gave him an awesome rear end, why isn't he running sticky tires so he can utilize it. From a dig: STI (if he doesn't **** up the launch). From a roll: I'm gonna say stang, STI's have zero top end.

True but the STI belts out 300 stock..whats stage 2 take it to? 350-400 hp(I relly dont know..)

That 5.0 will get what...325-345 with a 100 shot?(if he is even running that..)
..and what if the sti gets cute and runs race gas...and takes advantage of it...lol
