I just had to make sure this didn't die because I know the Captain truly wants to make good on his claim. His modesty would probably get in the way of his actually walking his talk but if we prod him enough he might grace us with the proof he so obviously can provide.

What say Cap.... any chance your tranny is now up for the task?

If not, please let us know when you plan to post the proof.

I think you have too much time on your hands to worry about somebody on the internet.

And apparently you have too much time to worry about someone with too much time to worry about someone...

Either that or you're also into baseless claims. Uh, Dan.

I'm not trying to be a bitch or anything but it's probably not the greatest idea to challenge someone with a 20 year old car to do a top speed run or any car for that matter on the street. There is nothing safe about going anywhere near that fast in that car. As almost everyone else knows, despite what he may say, the car is just not built for it plain and simple. Good luck if you do decide to do it, I hope everything is up to date and safe under the car for a high speed run. You should probably just listen to everyone that says its impossible.

Huh. My attempt at getting Cap to admit he was full of **** has been met with disdain (for StopSign32v that big word means people didn't like it).

I retract this thread and apologize for trying to hold posters to their claims. What a silly expectation...

CJ is just calling someone out over the internet due to thier remarks, it happens every, single day. The same as driving to a hang out spot and getting a run. Street/internet racing.

You act pretty damn immature for someone who's got a "built" cobra. How old are you again? Too naive to know that 90% of the stuff on the internet is BS anyways? :GTFO:

You know, you're absolutely right. For a few weeks I truly thought there was credibility to be found here. How naive of me.

It's simple, really: either hold the members accountable or be branded as a site of nutswingers (like lots of you do for, say, ricer sites).

Enjoy your delusion.

That's weird, we got my friend's '88 V6 firebird to inch up to 105 (according to the speedo anyways) and it had the 2.8

Mine was bone stock though. Well I had a flowmaster muffler that gave it a mean 4 cylinder S10 sound to it. I just remember my g/f on the phone with her friend telling her "We just wen't past a 100mph". Yea......they were on the phone a while.

Also I remember we were going downhill.
