Stock Turbo STi vs. Cammed C5 Vette what's up guys, just wanted to post up my videos that we took today at about 5:30 in Mexico...
15mph-95mph:
2005 Cobb Stage 2 STi (stock turbo), intake, exhaust, tune on methanol
VS.
2001 C5 Vette, R1 Cam, 3" cutouts, Z06 intake manifold, race gas...
i shut it down at 95mph when i was on his bumper due to the road being short...FYI, i shifted into 4th gear when he was ahead by half a car...

as you can see from his video, he wished he could have slowed down when i did...his car jumped a small bump in the road and when it came down, he was throwing flames out from underneath his car...his camera man was definately hurtin, HAHA !!!!
nice runs dude...that thing is gonna be crazy fast when you start building it...i did farely well with my AWD 4 banger, HAHA !!!
p.s.
before ya'll ask why we didn't run from a dig...he admitted that he would never run me from a dig...he said he saw my sig pic and was amazed how i get out of the hole

my STi vs. LS1 WS6 with long tube headers, exhaust, pulleys, and a 150 shot of nitrous...i even set him out a car at the light and still win...on the first run i missed 3rd gear and he ended up pulling me...eh, no biggie...

the first time i launched the car my hands slipped off of the steering wheel...i swear to you...i'm used to it now...it doesn't even phase me anymore, HAHA !!!
my camera man has a hard time focusing the camera sometimes during my runs so he has started sitting in the back seat, HA !!!!

you jumped the ls1 ws6 on spray from the hole even though you gave him a 1 car lead.
Unless it was a light which I think and then the guy is just slow in reaction.
Good running sti' but your on methonal. Running bolt on cars on pump gas.
Once you got meth its basically race gas. It should be pump vs pump or gas vs gas.
Meth and race gas are fair game in the real world. But for a car on the gas vs a pump gas car nothing special to see you beat them.

^^^ WS6 was spraying a 150 SHOT and the Vette was ON RACE GAS !!! HAHA !!!!
but no, we DID take off at the same time...supposedly he was making more than 450hp "easily"...

Why would the vette be on race gas? It wouldnt make it any faster. I sense a little overconfidence and bs going on in this thread, your car is quick no doubt but you seem to think its uber-fast.

Looks to me like he walked you pretty easily and it would've kept getting worse
and worse at higher speeds.
+2 on the race gas deal. No need for a mild LSx car to run anything but pump gas.

and you know STi's are NOT FAST from a roll...like i said, for a heavy *** pig, AWD, 4 cylinder, yes, it's impressive...
he refused to run from a dig...

all i did was post a video of my stock turbo 4-door running a cammed C5...from all of the years i have had an SRT and now an STi, i should expect this from you guys

Looks about right. Our buddy has a Stg 2 Sti and he hangs for a bit with our Z06, then we start to pull away pretty good. Here's an old vid of my Cobra vs his STi (ignore the 700whp, lol I dont know what he was thinking. I was at mayne 550 there)

but the whole i dea was to get it on tape...he completely refused a dig race, but wanted to go from a 15...if you look at HIS video, after the 3rd honk i got on it and INSTANTANEOUSLY had to shift into 2nd gear
he refused to go from a 10 roll too...he just wanted to run from a mph that HE was strong in...i gave in and ran him anyways...next up, A DIG !!!!

i could have gotten an 03 Cobra with 19K miles for 25K but i needed a four door
...i got the car a week after my baby was born...keep the comments comin guys...if ya'll have any questions about anything i'll be glad to answer them...not here to flame or be flamed, just here to provide videos...
