I like my GN. They are fast with ssmall mods and bolt-ons.. up to a point. You start going past that point.. you better have deep pockets or be good with a wrench. I would by no means call them the most reliable car ever made.

I bet the next GN you run across you smack it around just take the loss and as a great one to a race car that somebody dare to drive on the street!
That's interesting considering how many GNs are in the nines, and even sevens. Not to mention how easily they can get into the 11's or how a stock one can sound identical to a low 10sec one.

i remember seeing that you can put gn's into the 10's for under a couple grand. And i raced one also for a short burst and had the same thing happen that turbo was insane just about the loudest hissing screaming noise i have heard.

the Buick GN is more like the Buick GSX of the sixties. It was the fastest american production car for most of the eighties...

Yeah the GN's and the '03-04 Cobra's are similar in that they can make alot of hp/tq for a little money. These two cars probably are top 10 in my book for bang for buck. The little neon SRT-4 is up there too.

well like i said they will run 10's for under 2k put into them. But on the gnx the 0-60 is under 5 seconds i think like 4.8 or so

2.no, i will not race your 1960-78 truck that sounds like godzilla is under the hood

LOL @ #2! That **** happened to me before with my old 78Z. It was a late
60's Ford that sounded like godzilla....I was like screw it, he probably cant even hook up. WRONG! Found out later it had a 428 big block pushing 600+ .

I myself own an 85 GN (non-intercooled...the slower ones) and can tell you these things love mods like no other car ive seen. Bone stock my car ran 8.9@75mph in the 1/8 just turning up the boost some. I added a cai/injectors/chip/ta48 turbo/fuddle 3000 stall/built tranny and about killed myself first time out. Never got a good run (shitty bfg ta's) but i did manage an 8.6....at 97mph while looking at the stands for the first 70ft. Ive always dealt with small blocks before this car and its just crazy trying to compare them. The big thing is the torque comes in so early its scary even with the bigger turbo. My advice is if you see one with sticky tires....dont get you hopes up.

I'd jump all over that trade. Grand Nationals are sweeeeeet rides. They're fast, cool, & timeless. Please post some pics if you get it.
