Default Beat a brand new 281E Saleen

This was from a stoplight. New black Mustang 281E Saleen with chrome rims, sing outlet exhaust in the middle of the bumper. Beautiful Mustang. At the light I rev up to about 3000 rpm and hold it and I hear him do the same. On green I hooked and jump out imediately by about 1 1/2 cars. By the time I shift into 2nd he's 3 cars back and continues to fall. I kept on going until 100 but he look like he gave up at 75 (and he was a good 4 lengths or so back) as the outcome of the race became glaringly obvious.

I get to talk to him at the light, turns out its the stage one version, with exhaust, intake, and some other crap that I didn't catch (both cars are pretty loud at the light). He says he couldn't get any traction at all so I assume he just got the car and doesn't know how to drive it yet, but I did here him say it put down like 3XX at the wheels. I am assuming 320 or 330 by the way I walked him... or maybe he just can't drive a stick. Fun race, nice looking mustang and cool guy.

EDIT: Kinda left this out. It was the non-supercharged version.

Good kill, but it wasn't an "E." The S281E is the holy-**** forged motor badass... a Saleen Stage 1 isn't even supercharged...

STg 1 is a GT with a couple of goodies. He probably added few things, since stock they are ~300rwhp.

Definitely a badged car, de-facing a true S281E...Forged internals with 550 HP.

i remember when those cars first came out the mags tested them and the stage 1's where actualy slower than a stock gt. probly because of the huge wheels and all the extra pounds from the body kit and add on's. i think they sais it was like 2 tenths slower that a regular gt
