SLP SS I was out cruising and noticed an SS go by in the other direction. I haven't had any action lately so I made the U-turn. As we approached a light, it turned red. I pull along side. Light goes green and we leave easy and then she(yep, another chick in a nice clean F-body) starts jumping on the gas and goes. I am ready and am able to freeze her and by the top of second and go by her into third where we run out of room but we do come up on another red light. It turns green and she hammers it. It takes me until the middle of second to catch up and I go by into the middle of third where I had a couple of cars. We end up in traffic and she rolls down her window(that is when I find out it is a female....and cute too....dude was sitting shotgun). She said she was stock. I have to hand it to her, she was slammin the gears and that car ran pretty damn strong. I think it would have given a stock C5 a very good run. Anyway, it was a good run and cheers to her driving that car like it was meant to be driven.

how exactly would just the motors race?
Sit them on engine hoists and ride them down the road?
I'd love to see the car vs car race ... since watching engines run down the road wouldn't excite me too much ...

Hey, that was me and BTW it was a girl riding shotgun. That is so weird that you are on this board. I apologize now for the "old guy in a Corvette comment". My friend thought that you may have taken it wrong. It just seems that everytime I try to play around with a Vette the driver is some old guy having a mid life crisis and does not know a thing about his vehicle. Which is just sad.

Tracey, I may be confused(I may have pointed you in the wrong direction). I have been fortunate enough to have come against a lot of females in F-bodys. See if this link sounds a bit more like our race.
And BTW, I am well aware that the person sitting shotgun was a girl. That is what clued me in to the mix up. This was a different race. Sorry for the confusion.
Also, no offense on the "old man in Vettte" comment. I happily go against the stereotype. In fact I think you will find the majority of ZO6ers don't fit the stereotype(a younger group). They buy the car for what it is....not just because it is a Vette. I hope you enjoy the other thread/story....and again, you had that car shined up andlooking great.
