M6 race this week end i guess i have a M6 that thinks nothing can touch him around were we live...cape cod haha. this is what my friend over heard at the gym today and kind just laughed after being in my car vwich is a preaty fast street car around here i think its a 10 sec car but did 11.1 123mph. any one race one in a f-bod i think it will be a nice race. he'll have more of a chance from a roll i think i need some shift tuning soo. i have twice the tq. as him so he could catch me by the time my car tops out or close to 150 no need to race up to 150..should i be scared...

I pullled my friends exhaust/tuned new M5 as follows:
60 roll, me in 3rd (I coulda had 2nd for a second or so)
I pull a car immediately, shift, then maybe another half car after shift.
After winding out 4th, he had the half car back and my guess is he woulda pulled by in my mid-5th.
Those just keep on pulling and pulling where I woulda ran outta gear.

well it should be a fun race. i figured maybe race a mile i'll beff kill him in the 1/4 he might catch up at the end of the mile whe i'm about to run out of gear or blow the tranny

Coupes run 12.2-12.4 stock, so you are going to crush him with an 11.1. The convertible weighs about 4400 lbs.
Now there are people who drop weight, and do a bunch of bolt ons, so who knows. Do you know what mods he has, because the time he is claiming is not realistic stock.
Please hurt his ego. $105k car ;-) It takes alot of money to mod an M.

haha yea i cant wait..only if i had some money to put down. i guess hes doing some bolt ons soon exhaust, intake nad chip/tune. we have a lot of ppl here with 13-12 sec cars that think nothing can touch them or the fastes car on the street. thats prety good on the street but once ur deep in the 11's its a big diffrence.

When the lead car shifts into an OD gear, the race is OVER. What is there to prove after that? Who has the highest top speed? An M6 coupe with the 7spd SMG will do 200mph.
