Maybe we just need to consider the fact that there are just as many untuned and bad matched h/c combo's as there are properly tuned, well matched combos. In the dyno section a few days ago I saw a thread of a guy from miami with a red c5 (forgot username), who was doing 510 on the stock block n/a. Now that's what i call proper matching of parts and a damn good tune. The cam was no bigger than your average ms4 and a pair a great heads to match. I meant to refer to h/c setups like these, which obviously hit 450 and more. I do realize that there are h/c setups under 450, and i realize saying a majority was the wrong word.

a good fiend of mine has a cam only c6 with a ported fast 90 intake and throttle body. he made 452rwhp. if you dont make at least 480. id throw the cam through the shops window

Dude are you smoking crack????Majority oh H/C LS1's hit 450 rwhp???????
At my local dyno were a good hundred LS1's have dynoed only 3 have hit over 400 rwhp SAE Naturally asperated on the stock cube 346..
Many people with H/C 402's and 408's only hit 440-470 rwhp. MANY as in atleaste half or more.
But now most are hitting 450 rwhp with there 346's?????
You'll need 205 AFR's plus a huge cam and every bolt on available and even then you still may not hit 450 rwhp.
Dont get me wrong..There have been some "SHOP BUILT" 346 LS1's that have hit 470-500 rwhp SAE...BUT these are top of the line components and have every bolt on and trick available to make the number.
Your typical guy who cant spend 10K at once to have a shop build his car and as well cant afford the best this/that, and actually uses his car to get from A to B is lucky to hit over 400 rwhp...
Go to the dyno section and see what the 408 CI guys are doing before you say such a thing

This should help you. These are my 2 buddys,. im the camera man....Z06 in this video was bone stock besides a Tune...C6 has a Cam, headers,varam intake, tune, and a 125 wet shot.,..video explains all

I think you'll lose but it won't be by much. It all depends on your tq curve and how good of a driver you buddy is. I beat a C6 Z but I was making 489rwhp in my Z06. The C6 Z had tune and filter. Good luck and get it on film!

Im with Z O SICK...You just gotta be realistic.
An averagly driven and averagly powered bone stock 450 rwhp 3170 pound 3.42 geared .34 drag C6Z06 is faster than many think..
Even with 470 rwhp in my Viper my buddies C6Z06 still will pull me by 1-2 cars at 150 mph every time ( and my viper has better overall arodynamics)..
In the 1/4 mile I can beat him due to just better driving. But his car IS faster from a 2nd gear-5 gear pull by a lil bit..
And quite honestly I think my Vipers pretty darn fast. But the C6z06 is just that fast from 70-150 ( even stock) You need to be 480-500 rwhp to beat one convincingly in a 3200-3400 pound vehicle.

Yea just get the supercharger man...Letrs face it...Quite a few C6Z06's have ran11.2-11.5 100% bone stock at 123-127 mph..
Quite a fewe vids have shown the C6z06 to be faster than the FGT stock for stock. Do I want one..Nope. Already had a vette and I like the vipers 10X's more..But it is F-A-S-T..And proper respect must be given.
