Wow. Pay attention OP, stopsign is blown. I don't recall if it's turbo or supercharger, turbo right? I am taking this from your avatar.

No need to get butt-hurt about him calling a GT500 a "waist" of money though.

the best anyone has ever got that thing to run is 12.8 stock u show me something that shows different then maybe I will believe you.
Just so you all know I use to work at a Ford dealership working on these cars and they are not impressive at all. Plus that car is limited from the factory at 155mph. I have taken my car to 168mph on a GPS. That was before I had the cam and LT's.
Maybe Ford should stop making their cars so heavy, then they might have a fast car. Even the Ford GT is a joke $200,000 for what, low 12's? The best that car has hit is 11.8, WOW. The Zo6 is way more impressive for only about $70,000. I've seen a stock Zo6 on drags run 10.8. Especially the new one comming out everyone is done. 700hp supercharged LQ9. And thats only going to be around $100,000. They say 0-60 in low three seconds. That is rediculous for rear wheel drive. Its going to be in league with the Enzo and the Carrera GT. and still cost less. Oh yeah and still get 25+ mpg.

And remeber this is coming from a previous Mustang owner. But not anymore. I will never buy another ford again. You Mustang guys should do your Homework I did and I went with the better car.

I understand the f-body mustang rivalry thigh but you can’t honestly say that either of the cars are better IMO. GM needs to work on their styling and Ford needs to work on their performance, they each have flaws.

As for the GT500 being a POS?? Na, just $20,000 over priced

good kill, i agree that the gt 500 is slow for its class however i believe you only beat the driver. i have beat a 06 z06 from a roll doesnt mean my car is faster rather i was the better driver, i have also raced a friends t/a off the spray that makes 403 hp and put a few lenghts on him. i wouldnt go saying all mustangs are slow and suck cause there are many on this boad that would put a hurting on you.

Sorry buddy but you don't want none of that Mustang!!!!! In a high 12 sec car he would pass you so fast that you would need to repaint your car after the race.. Good try though!!

That car is very heavy and its not all that impressive. From what i understand the 03 and 04 Cobra's out run the gt 500. That's just what the numbers show.

You want to talk about underachieving? Check out that brand new GT500 they tested in the new Car and Track (or one of those magazines: big, orange, 600hp one on the cover). Holy crap, what a turd......a big, heavy, underachieving turd. Hopefully a better magazine will be able to take one and get some better times with it, because my brother and I were beyond laughing at it when we read the article. He just shook his head and walked away when he saw the numbers. It has 600hp and the best trap they got out of it was 119. I hope it responds really well to mods...

I know you can make any car fast. Im talking about a stock car not a modified car with nitrous. It doesnt matter though cuz all the mustang guys will always say the exact same thing every time. But thats ok the chevy guys know.

Wow. All I can say is "Wow". KIDS. Please read. Please learn.
Condor vs. Terminator:

Yes. Magazine racing. But this is the same mag that got something like a 12.8 from a stock LS1 camaro.

With some pretty simple mods on the GT500:

The Gt500 is a performance deal at Ford suggested retail but with dealer "market addendums" added, it's a rip-off.

So your "modified" car beat a "stock" car and that's ok? I'm cornfused.

LOL, I don't know who to side with. In one hand the OP comes across like a 12 year old. On the other hand I think that stock, the GT500 is an overpriced POS, lol.

Modded is another matter, but after paying the mark up prices, my *** would hurt too much to be able to spend anything on mods, lol.

You can't really compare the two in the article. They are both modded. Take the performance of the two stock for stock and compare the prices for each (what you'd actually pay, not the sticker) and the Terminator is a badass machine, while the GT500 is an overpriced POS.

you can make any car fast, but the gt500 needs hardly anything to be in the single digits. takes most other cars a lot more to get into the 9s. any car can be made fast, but some cars take to mods better than others. not sure why im even bothering to answer you, you dont have a clue.

are you a retard? i was talking about tim00ls1 racing him, not me, my car is pretty much stock and probably would only get a 13.2-13.4 on street tires. i know i would get beat. try and read the post right next time before you throw up this stupid comeback.

http://www.musclemustangfastfords.co...500/index.html

From the article:
There was some frustration in his voice. "I'm going through the lights in Third gear," he reported. "You're giving up 3-tenths minimum. The first thing I'd do is put in 4.10s or 4.30s. I can feel this is an 11-second car with gears, even on the stock tires. It's a very difficult car to launch."

He decided powershifting Second was the only way to go. And the next run bore this out, a 12.257 at 117.18 (2.11 60-foot), with him pedaling it like John Force in Second. He also shifted into Fourth on this run.
No stock terminator ran a 12.2. Is it better when price is considered? That is a matter of opinion. At retail with gears, tires and a pulley you are close to 10 sec land. Not bad for such a heavy "POS".
