I can see our difference in opinion seems to be based on street and track racing, which is fine.
1. Congradulations on finding 2 psycho bastards with enough time and money to make those conversions. I was speaking as a whole. the number of conversions to hot rodders with ls1's doesnt even compare. Every other car I saw at HAN had an ls1.

3. Again, were talking about different playing fields. I was talking on the street where 99% of my action and time will be. I can run all the cubes I want

5. I didnt say you were. It just seemed to me like you were ******* all the smaller motors. Sure ls1's are supperior in the right situtions. Not all cars can be converted to an ls1. 4 banger AWD cars are pretty hard to beat when set up properly

While the owner of civic is a crazy bastard (in a good way), the S2000 wouldnt really be all that hard of a swap, and I expect to see more in the future. But I agree, compared to the hot rod scene this is nothing.

But come on, you cant tell me that that subaru is gonna benefit from getting an ls1 swap! it's gotta be heavier! and it's losing AWD. That one kinda makes me wonder.
The ones I was talking about were indeed newer sti and evo type cars.
People will do anything these days

I was sitting in a turn lane waiting to turn left at an intersection, and an RSX with a carbon fiber hood, body kit, loud exhaust, and who knows what else pull up next to me in the other turn lane. My windows are down even when it's cold and he revs at me. His dumb friend is sitting in his car laughing.
He says, "Hey bro, get a real car. That old piece of junk can't handle a brand new car."
I laughed a bit to myself and said, "Yeah, you're right. You're definitely going to beat me. But let's run anyway since I want to see how badly you beat me."
He goes, "Yeah ok. Check this **** out." He gets a really serious look on his face while looking at the light.
The light turns green, we make the turn and we're even, then when it's straight we both punch it. I heard a lot of noise coming from him, but I instantly put a car on him, then hit the brakes when I had 2 cars on him (it's not the BEST place to be racing at this time). It only took a couple seconds - his car was slowwww.
Of course he won't pull up next to me again, even when I slow down to 20mph.
