my 1st race lt1 T/A vs daytona charger
I came to a stop light with a regular neon in front of me and this charger pulls up next to the neon, sits there and revs then the light turns green and the charger takes off hard. so i'm like wtf? so i check my watch and see if i have time to play, i do, so the neon gets out of my way at the next turn and i pull up to the charger doin' 40 in third, i step on it a lil to egg him on and wait, he goes, so i floor it in third and i pull a car on him instantly and continue to pull slowly, the road curves and theres a car in his lane so he gets behind me and i slow up til the road gets straight and its like a mile of straight road, two lanes and no cars ahead, so im doin' like 30 waitin for him to get next me to line up and he won't he just kept ridin my bumper and wouldn't race for like a 1/4 mile, so i said screw it and turn around, i guess he didn't want anymore, then when i turned off he revs and floors it. this dude was gay by all means, this was my first race with this car i got six months ago, if we raced again i know i would of killed him, are non srt-8 chargers really that slow?
also, i never even got to fourth gear.

More weight + the same or less power = slower than you.
For some reason those "NEW" hemi guys have a hair in their butt to try and race EVERYTHING. I have to lay down the law on full size dodge pickups that think their truck is like a srt-10 all the friggen time. So damn annoying. Of course mine looks like a six

Good kill on the daytona!!
Yea they do! Its still fun though. I had a guy w/dealer plates in a charger R/T run me from a 40-80. With H/C/I it was just brutal. I have to give props to these guys though. At least they try!! I couldnt even get a guy in an 03-04 cobra to look at me a couple of months ago. Any action is better than no action.

Yea, the Super Bee package is mostly just an appearance option for the SRT-8 Chargers the way the Daytona package is mostly an appearance option for the R/T's.
Good kill. Even if your LT1 were stock, you'd still wipe the floor with a Daytona. The SRT-8s are a bit more of a handful, but nothing some bolt-ons can't handle. The SRT10 trucks are just...how should I say?.........disappointing. Had one try to run away from me the day I went to get dyno'd and I kept having to let off to avoid running into his rear bumper.

Looks like I am confusing them with the R/T Daytona cars
I thought I read something in there about him mentioning an SRT-8 truck...
I must have been drinking.

It was pretty badass though. It did a burnout that's in my personal top 10. Of course those 22's weren't exactly affordable at the time He just traded it with slick rears.

The SRT-8 Chargers are pretty quick stock. I saw a bone stock one run a 13.0 @ 110
at my local track. Thats pretty respectable for a stock car. Not all that fast for having
450hp but its heavy.
Nice kill. Nice to see another hemi owner got put in his place.
