Merv Vs. C6 Z06

Posting this up as a general kill story..that and one of my personal goals was to eat up one of these cars..
1995 Camaro Z28:
Home-built 402 LSX/L92 Iron Block Stroker Conversion, ALL MOTOR
Comp Custom Grind, SS3600 Stall, 3.73's, Tuned
Many other supporting Mods..![Devil](https://ls1tech.com/forums/images/smilies/LS1Tech/gr_devil.gif)
2007 Corvette Z06: Factory Stock
It was myself and one of the guys from the local area who has one..and there was no driver error on both ends, both Cars were fit ready to run, and driven good.
We lined up, flagger signaled, the Vette got the jump and left out by half a car at first, I reeled him in by the end of first gear, started to pull in second, and walked away in third. I shut down a little past the 1/4 mile mark about 2 car-lengths in front at about 135mph..that is the speed I was at, the people watching told me the rest.![Driving](https://ls1tech.com/forums/images/smilies/LS1Tech/gr_driving3.gif)
Those Cars are beasts for a Factory Car, no question about that..![Nod](https://ls1tech.com/forums/images/smilies/LS1Tech/gr_nod.gif)
The Camaro just has a little more punch in it though..![Grin](https://ls1tech.com/forums/images/smilies/LS1Tech/gr_grin.gif)
I had an agreement not to post this, but the word got around, and I heard a little rumor accusing me of running N20, so I figured I would let the rest of the peeps here say otherwise about a built H/C 402 with the supporting mods other than the "He has N20" bullshit..

How much power? You are aware a stock corvette traps 125-127mph.
vette is lighter, puts down 450whp, gearing isn't much different and he jumped on you by 1/2 car. Interesting....no doubt!
Some numbers would be interesting on your combo.
Edit: I just noticed that it says your 3250 in your sig. Is that race weight?

The weight is the Chassis Weight with some Gas..it's usually 3250-3270 area.
He jumped out half a car cause he left the line first..as soon as I left I gained that right back.

Good kill but it is hard to swallow...
You must be making some hella power like 550+fw......What's the specs on your heads/valvetrain and c/r?
An 07 zo6 is mid 11s or better car with good driver. ..

I believe ya Merv.
Get some pics or a vid next time brotha![Cheers!!](https://ls1tech.com/forums/images/smilies/LS1Tech/gr_cheers.gif)
This reminds me of the thread when another member (forget his name) posted a video of his LE3 N20 LT1 running with a C6 Z06 from 60-160mph/ and waxing it from a dig.
From reading their posts in that thread, some of the LSX owner's seemed confused

Z06s are beatable...no doubt...but driver mod is needed in most of them, not everyone who has $70K can drive a $70K car...lol...

Ok, I was gonna let this go and be a good sport because it's all BS and fun and games, but after reading all this I have to step in. If you're gonna tell the story you need to tell it right. First of all MERV you didn't beat me by 2 car links, it was by a fender and I have the passenger as a witness. Second of all a buddy (NOT Steve) told me that you were spraying a 150 shot. Also, you were on drag slicks and I have street tires. You talk s**t about everyone and their cars (including your so called friends) and you'll end up getting what's coming to ya. All you have is a kitchen built camaro, spraying a s**t load of N20 (whether you admit it or not) and you wouldn't have a chance against me or anyone else without it! Not to mention Merv, have you noticed that all the people on this forum that hold up for you and give you props, are all in other states? Do you wonder why none of your local "buddies" get on here and support you? I'm assuming you already know it's because they all know your full of it.
