We know. We know.

When it comes to cars, MUSTANG is an acronym, not a noun. If they want to be fast NA, they all have to swap in a Chevy motor. It's becoming so popular in Fox bodies. Kooks just came out with a really nice header specifically made for Fox body's running a Chevy motor
I guess nobody told me that either. Or the engine builder that won the Jegs pump gas N/A small block horsepower shootout with a SBF.

You need to get out more often.

Jeez, and I thought the fanboyism on Mustang boards was bad. It's taken to a whole 'nother level in here. Some of you guys really do need to get over yourselves.

Makes me want to reconsider looking into an LS1 F-bod (which I am) if I have to associate with the likes of some of you.

It's the "even a blind squirrel gets a nut every now and again" argument. What motor do you have? Is it a Ford motor? And here's the big question: is the the motor that came stock with the Mustang?

It's not "fanboyism." It's history. Ford's N/A motors have a history similar to the French military. Sure, maybe the French won a few battles here and there, but you can count them on one hand and they usually had help.

^^^^I opened those three posts...and they reminded me why I still have him on ignore. Ignorance hasn't lessened in the eyes of that youngster. Something about listing NGKs and MSDs as a mod that just makes me wonder about him.

Okay, you definitely need tires. If he has tires and you run him on street tires it would probably be pointless, unless you make him feel real bad and squeeze it in high gear on streets tires and pass him. I would just get some tires and not worry about it. Doesn't matter what it is, I put my money on the converter leaving on the clutch car. If thats the case he won't come back around you.

well, mother nature has taken her brookstick and fucked me again. The constant rain has cancelled my event  and tomorrow isnt looking promising either, with a low of 29 and drizzling rain at night... i dont trust mustang ricer fanboy enough for him to launch next to me in the rain. probably would hit me then tell mommy someone backed into him.

That sucks. The weather up here is pretty bad too. For your sake I hope he doesnt know how to launch. Like I said before, you are running against a mid to low 12 second car if he does.

What do you run?

No waaay dude. Do NOT try racing on any kind of slick surface. Patience is a virtue. Wait until things dry up and preferably until temps get back up into the 40s or 50s (at least). Traction is usually one's biggest enemy in a low roll/dig race....no need to make it worse with freezing temps and wet roads.

Wrecking a beautiful car is definitely not worth trying to get bragging rights. Just wait until the conditions are better. And look at it this way.....more time for you to mod up a little more.

It is kinda funny the LSX guy wanting advice for a little Mustang race.

All this ranting and yet no race. No wonder these get shut down.
