Default Ls2 Gto Vs '05 Sti

Raced my buddy last week.

His '05 sti has full bolt ons running 18-20psi on stock turbo and was fully tuned @ topspeed on an awd dyno in atlanta.

My GTO is bone stock

Enjoy

45 mph punch (sti's dead spot)http://videos.streetfire.net/video/9...040045427c.htm

I would have picked the Scoob to win? I figured with the modifications he had and you being stock he would edge you out. Good run and kill.

They went from a roll, and from a roll that awd only hurts those cars, and besides he still probably doesn't have as much power as the goat does.

That's only half of the equation. The Subaru weighs about 3200 to the 3800 of the GTO that's big right there. And in reality motor power was probably pretty close too. The scoob loses alot through the drivetrain though. About 25% I believe. But looking at the stats I would still think the Scoob should have won.

And people still cant believe GTOs can keep up with other cars. Have you guys ever driven a new GTO? They arent slow. I didnt beleive it until I drove one.

Yes and I was not impressed. Its a nice car and I would own one but in stock form they're nothing to get excited about.

I agree... worst of all, i couldnt find the damn window switch!! ughhh! the day we picked up my buddies new GTO, we switched vehicles at night for a little while so i could see how she drove, and when we got off the turnpike and i got to the pay station and couldnt find the damn window switch... i felt really dumb when i found it later on, but i've never owned a vehicle with the window switches in teh center console!!!

They are really nice cars tho! I considered one when I bought my truck, but they don't haul MX bikes as well!
