Default 94 Formula vs 07 GT/CS

Well I was on the way home from Applebees and got stopped at a light with an 07 Mustang GT/CS. We raced about 7 or 8 times and a majority of the runs I beat him. The first few I lost due to traction issues.(20* outside doesn't help with traction) But anyways once we got to a roll. I got him everytime. Just thought I'd share the short clip of our run. I didn't have any space left on my camera, which is why I only got 13 seconds of the race. But FYI I did beat him at 115MPH going into 4th gear (we started at 45mph in 2nd) What do you guys think?? I am mostly stock; CAI, Catback, and 3.42 gears. He was Bone Stock... & to my surprise they are pretty dang quick...

I thought "CS" stood for Carroll Shelby as in the Carroll Shelby Mustang GT model that was released in 2007 and has the following distinguishing characteristics:

4.6-liter V-8 w/325 horsepower and 330 lb-ft of torque
Ford Racing Handling Pack
Ford Racing Power Pack
18" wheels
Hurst Short Throw Shifter
Offered in Black and Performance White only w/Silver Stripes
Unique Front Fascia
Hood Scoop
Brushed Aluminum Grille
Shelby GT Logo Floormats and Sill plates
Authentication Plate on Center Dashboard and Under Hood

Hey everyone! Thanks for your replies.... So everyone knows, It was a California Special 07 Mustang GT. I believe it had 325 HP and 330 Ft Lbs. Tq. At least thats what I have heard. Not Sure Though! As far as my car I have a stock LT1 with 134,000 miles on it and my only mods are 3.42's, CAI, and Hooker 3" Catback Exhaust. I took off the UD Pulley for the winter and the 160* T-stat. So I would have heat and didn't have to worry about charging issues with the heater blasting Thats all I have done.
The mustang had a Manual Transmission. And it was ALL STOCK!
To those of you who said my car runs strong thank you! I seem to run with alot of people that I SHOULDN'T IMO. But at the track it runs poor times.... My best ever was a 13.8 @100 mph. On the street it runs REALLY well though, a good friend of mine runs 13.18 @108 in an 05 GT-consistently! and I'm only behind him by a car every time we race.... So I dunno. Just wish I could get it to run good at the track it always boggs or spins. Need to do some suspension stuff.
Well thanks for the compliments....I'm thinking about going and test driving 1 tomorrow at the dealership, I have a VIP pass that pays me $75.00 to test drive 1 and fill out a survey. So I'll let everyone know how they handle...and maybe how strong they are. I'm gonna beat the HELL out of it on the test drive. (I mean what are they gonna do!!)
Well here is a few pics from the 2008 Auto Show in Indy Last Monday... New Years Eve.

MM.... No. The GT/CS is an appearance package ONLY, meaning 300bhp and 320lb-ft. And please tell me your "friends" GT is lightly modded otherwise he is setting a record in a stock S197.

Thanks for clarifying the HP/Tq. ratings....I wasn't sure.
As far as my friends car, He has a CAI, Lightweight Flywheel, TB, Nitto 555's on american Racing Wheels, and LCA's thats all he has done so far. Still factory exhaust...

Your kills sound pretty similar to mine with your mods. Nice runs. Can't wait to see the diff from the headers.

Thanks guys' It runs pretty good, Just can't wait till I get my Stroker done. Looks like it will take a little longer than originally planned. But it will be worth it in the end....
Before I do my engine swap, I'm gonna install the PS LT's and the 3" ORY Pipe with 2 cutouts in the Y-pipe(already have the Y-Pipe), along with some Nitto 555 Drag Radials, and see how it improves. I'm just curious as to how much of a difference it will have on my track times and on the a$$ dyno!

well to give you an example of what dr's and headers will do...
My car with 4.10s, catback, cai went 8.93@82.5ish with 2.2x 60s
then i added headers and a tune and went 8.81@83.2-3, then added Nittos
and ran 8.38@84 with a 1.89 60...
oh and btw i have 172000miles lol
