if it was a navy blue, it was a 01. 99's were red, white, black, and green.
and from the way it ran with you, it was a cobra, a GT would have been nowhere near that close.
a few 2V GT's stock have run 13.9s with excellent drivers, and better tires. with stock tires and a good driver they're typicall low - mid 14 cars. general comparison a 99/01 cobra, or 03/04 mach would be closer to stock LS1 car, or a slightly modded LT1. a 99-04GT needs full bolt ons to even hang with a stock LS1.
and 95N20FORMULA, you should watch what you say comparing "mustangs" to LT1's, because i have news for you, a 03/04 cobra, or a GT500 will **** your **** all up.

he's comparing "mustangs" to LT1's, he has a bolt on LT1, a termi, or a GT500 would murder him.
he either is clueless, or left his comment way too open ended. if he compared it to a 2V GT it would have been valid. but mod for mod a 99/01 cobra, or 03/04 mach would take his car to a certain point, and at the point he is at a stock termi would eat his ***.

really thats funny the new 3v mustangs mod for mod will run all over a lt1. so what does that say about your car?

i dont agree with that, from the factory yes a LT1 isnt all that, but there is still more power to be made than the 4.6 is capable of NA whether its a 2V, 3V, or 4V. a LT1 camaro will walk a new 3V mod for mod. a 4V would be a different story, but face it, the S197's are heavy.

now for the lt1 will walk mod for mod,
how come when my car was only bolt-ons around 320rwhp and my friend lt1 had every bolt on-full exhaust, prog, underdrive, thermostat, shifter and some other bs did i outrun him by 2-3 cars everytime from 20-120 and 40-140???

ive seen you in like 5 diff threads now and you seem to be arguing in all of them lol. n mod for mod a lt1 will not beat the 3v. your` sayin a 4v is a diff story. the 3v have more potential than the 4v with the exception of the 03-04 cobras. how many 99-01 cobras, and mach ones are making 500rwhp reliably?? there are quite a few 3vs doin it. and as for that goes how many lt1s are makin 500rwhp on stock motor. lt1s are dogs and are only superior to the 2v stangs

to do 500RWHP on a 3V, yoru going to have to add boost, and a more realistic HP number for a safe stock bottom end is about 425-450. 500RWHP on a stock bottom end in a 3V is a ticking time bomb, ive seen several of them pop, i work at a mustang shop, and have had several of them blow.
and ever think maybe he isnt a very good driver. and when you say "around 320RWHP" did you dyno it, or are you guessing.

I was poking fun...and for the last time I have an ls1 not an lt1...its an lt1 car....read between the lines. Believe it or not I wouldn't mind having a 4.6...for a daily driver. My only arguement is that by the time you spend enough to build a 4.6 to run with an modern fbody with a good driver, he could put a 100 shot on his car and watch you fade in the mirror

And we're saying that you can't say "a 4.6" and "modern fbody" like they are all the same. You have your 180-190rwhp 4.6s (first-gen SOHC), and then your 270rwhp 4.6s (DOHC in the Mach 1), and many inbetween. And a 5spd Mach 1 would have absolutely no problem with a stock LT1 F-body. I might even put money on a bone stock Mach beating a light bolt-on LT1 F-body. So basically, you just need to be a little more specific, and a little less condescending ![Winky](https://ls1tech.com/forums/images/smilies/LS1Tech/gr_wink.gif)

BTW, on the stock bottom ends, a LT1, and a DOHC camaro are pretty comparable. they will both make around, or over 400RWHP with ported heads, cam, ported intake, and the rest of the bolt on's. the camaro has the weight advantage though.

i assume the 355-395RWHP stock terminators are in between?
